Alright, Mike. That’s interesting that you made a note of the latency getting higher with the controller. I’ve been playing on the RedMagic and my latency has gotten worse as well with my PS5 controller. That said, I’m also having internet latency. I’m getting that thing where my bullets land but the response is delayed. It’s not massive but it’s noticeable compared to what it has been. Very weirdly, the RedMagic can do 60 most of the time with peak, high resolution and high frame rate. I know the iPad renders to a higher resolution but it’s still disappointing that you can’t max out the M4. The S24 Ultra doesn’t have the new graphics options even though it’s the same processor as the RedMagic. I also don’t get why the graphics across all devices are very hit or miss. Even though you get the option to download all the graphics, playing the same map at different times can result in the textures being low resolution and soft, as if it’s still waiting for some stuff to download. I really don’t understand what the difference is between the streaming graphics and the downloaded version as there still seems to be stuff missing no matter what. Also, the issue I’ve had with not being able to use the mouse and the controller, which I thought was a Samsung issue, is the same on the RedMagic depending on whether it’s mirroring or in desktop mode. So it would seem that the issue is maybe Android or the game itself, I don’t have that issue with CoDM. Plus there’s still certain issues that you’ve already spoken about. It just seems that they never quite get it right with these updates and I hate the way my loadouts and gun setups disappear. That said, I had a little play with WZ on the Xbox and it feels to me that there’s still a lot of dodgy gameplay going on and I had audio issues. At least WZM isn’t full of scumbag cheaters. Hi Dave. I haven't played that much, but so far I haven't gotten the internet latency issue where I'm getting delayed hit markers. However I also haven't played a late joined match where I skip the pre-lobby. The controller input delay is very bad. It felt like I was streaming a tablet on GeForce NOW. I had to disable bluetooth and reset the tablet to make sure it was the game's fault. I tweaked 3 of the acceleration values and now it's playable for me. That's interesting the RedMagic's desktop mode has the same issues as Dex. However I think that means it may never get fixed for WZM. Like I wrote on this video, the Medium resolution setting is very close to holding 60 fps on the M4 even on Verdansk. It just has these weird and consistent framerate drops that last a second or two. It seems to me this version is trying to cater to the M4. So I think they could do some more optimizing and Medium could be a viable setting. Right now it feels like a memory bandwidth issue since the drops are so often and not when I'm fighting. Console and PC is nothing but cheaters, Dave. The only reason I get kills when grinding a gun on console is because even though they're cheating, they're still terrible.

​@@Mike5GSR Alright, Mike. I forgot to say, I'm playing hardwired and noticing the input latency. Yes, it's like game streaming latency, although, not quite as bad for me as my latency with ANY game streaming service is seriously bad. Like I said, mine isn't terrible but it only needs to be off slightly with an FPS and it's very noticeable. It's like everything is a bit dull and you're walking in mud. I should take another look at my sensitivity settings, as you have 👍 Yes, there's a bunch of similarities with the RedMagic and Samsung/DeX as far as issues are concerned. So yes, I think you're correct, it may suggest that certain things never get fixed. Let's face it, with all the updates and the lengthy beta stage, if certain things haven't been fixed they probably won't be. Or maybe, as far as Activision are concerned, there's nothing to fix. Although, using the controller on the buy station should be a priority fix. What internal render resolution do you think the M4 is doing when its settings are balance for 60FPS? While the M4 does better upscaling and antialiasing, the RedMagic is very impressive in peak graphics. I know the RedMagic's resolution isn't as high as the M4 but when the RedMagic is in peak and the M4 is in medium (Or whatever it's called) I don't think the horizontal resolution is that different. I'm still quite shocked by the RedMagic's performance in peak mode and it definitely craps all over the iPhone. On the point of the RedMagic. I'm very impressed with the phone but not the company. There was an offer when I bought mine with a "Mystery Box" containing £189 worth of premium RedMagic gaming peripherals, about $240. For the "Mystery Box" they were showing stuff like their gaming keyboards, mice, phone coolers, phone controllers, headphones, DACs etc. I was waiting for two weeks for my "Mystery Box" to be sent, as their website was saying "waiting for shipping" but RedMagic said I had already received it with the phone. Apparently, the £189 was "up to" £189 and RedMagic said that the extra USB cable in the box was the "Mystery Box" 🤣 This was obviously BS bait and switch and there's no way anyone would agree that a USB cable is a premium gaming peripheral or worth anywhere near £189 🤣Plus, the phone already come with the exact same cable. I also wanted to test their return policy and they are proper messing me about with that as well. I'm going to do a couple of videos warning people of RedMagic's BS with their offers and return policy. Although I bought it from what looks like a UK website, it's basically administrated from Hong Kong/China and I may as well have bought it from Aliexpress, Alibaba or some other BS unregulated website that doesn't guarantee crap. I would never spend more than about £20 form any of those types of websites as I'm fully aware of how crap they are for returns etc. If I ever buy another RedMagic phone it'll be from Amazon using Prime. I generally do not buy expensive items from anywhere outside of the UK because of the BS with warranty, returns etc. and potential delivery issues. Although, the RedMagic phone was sent within the UK. However, the phone was a great price anyway for a SD8 Gen3 and as long as I don't have to test the warranty, it should all be OK. Cheers, Dave.

My guess is the M4 is doing 900p at the Low Resolution setting and 1080p at the Medium setting for actual render resolutions. Those are just guesses because WZM uses some really good anti-aliasing on Apple and SD chips. The HUD isn't based on the render resolution and as far as I can tell the minimap isn't either. That's irritating to hear about your mystery box shenanigans. I saw in the U.S. there was a bundle with their cell phone controller attachment. I forgot to look up a review on it. I never buy those Backbone style controllers because they always have terrible thumbsticks. I wanted to see if the RedMagic didn't use crappy Nintendo Switch sized sticks. I'm not surprised to hear the RedMagic trounces the iPhone. It's actively cooled vs not even passively cooled on the A17 Pro. Plus the Qualcomm SD has more cores which WZM seems to need.

@@Mike5GSR Alright, Mike. I’ll have to do some screen captures of the M4 and the settings that get it a solid 60 and compare it to some captures of the RedMagic doing 60 in Peak. I know it’s not scientific but it should give a good idea of how they compare. However, even before testing I’m going to guess that the M4 will look better regardless of resolved resolution. I much prefer the quality of the rendering on the iPad but I got used to playing in 16:9 with DeX and the RedMagic’s 16:9 desktop mode thing is a notch up from the Samsung. I’m still surprised that Apple haven’t given a 16:9 option for the games output over HDMI. Yes, the whole Mystery Box thing was a load of BS. While I also don’t have any interest in those Backbone controller things, it would have been better than a USB cable 🤣 My plan was to immediately sell whatever came in the Mystery Box for half price and get shut really quick. My hope was that I could knock off about £80 to £90 for what the phone cost and that would lessen the loss once I come to sell it. My plan was to sell the 9 Pro and get their next phone, presumably the 10 Pro. And seeing as RedMagic had the first SD8 Gen3 phone out, late last year, I’m assuming they will have the SD8 Gen4 (if that’s what it I’ll be called) before the end of this year. Although I think RedMagic are a BS company, I love the 9 Pro. I’ve been playing other stuff on it and it’s basically a console. If you check out my last video there’s a shot at the beginning showing the desktop game menu. It’s not like an Xbox or PS UI but it’s super easy to navigate and it can all be done with the controller. To be honest, I haven’t touched any of my other devices for a couple of weeks now, as I’ve got the RedMagic permanently setup with my monitor. That said, my M4 iPad is my most used bit of tech, I use it at my work desk when on my computer and I use for nearly all my media consumption and my iPhone is my “proper” phone. It’s only really the Samsung that’s not being used, as that was my preferred “game machine”. And yes, that A17 Pro is a joke and the phones thermal management is non existent. There’s some really good functions on the iPhone but the heat issue is a much bigger problem than what people want to admit. Especially on KZbin, where it seems that everyone is a FanBoy and can’t bear any bad news being said. Cheers, Dave.

I watched the beginning of that video so I got to see the interface. As soon as I saw you slide that FOV slider to 120 I turned it off.
