When (fuck) Activision gave SHG's time to shine for CoD 2021 release, Vanguard was basically rushed in terms of everything you could think of. Heck, just look on how soulless and directionless the game had become over its life cycle.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is one of the games of all time. The sounds are heard, the guns are firing, the animation is an example of an animation, the gameplay is there, the mechanic works and the visuals can be seen in our line of sight. Its truly an FPS game that exists. I'll rate it /10.

They had anime stickers on their guns and were bunny hopping with no stock Kar98s and MG38s. And how My Team was slide cancelling to try to avoid The Enemy Team's fire. This has to be the best mobile game in the world - up there with raid shadow legends.

Maybe because with the EX1 at least you know it’s completely fictional and in a video game, also not the first time a sci-fi gun showed up in a WW2 game (COD WaW Ray Gun in campaign). You could also chalk it off as a spooky German science experiment like a wonder weapon or whatever, but the F2000 is a real modern era gun featured in this 1940s styled game which Sledgehammer claimed to be ‘authentic’. Also it’s so out of place among its rough metal and wooden gun counterparts with its polyester build.

I love the fact that Sledgehammer tried to make actual WW2 game; even going so far to have your guy load individual rounds with scoped bolt actions; only to have Raul Menendez and the fucking Terminator running around with laser beams and FN2000s as soon as it was clear that the player base dipped hard time. If they sound nice to you, cool. IMO, the sound design is trash. They reused CoD WW2’s sounds, which sound atrocious; like nuts and bolts jingling in various containers. On top of that, there is no variety difference in weapon sounds either. You could probably have your eyes shut and not tell the difference between most of the weaponry aside from the iconic. MW1 and MW2’s sound design is much more better, both on the ears and how immersive it sounds.

I really enjoy the animations in Vanguard. While I do think that overall the animations are a little too tacticool, they are still honestly fantastic.

8:24 the appareance of the marlín model 1917 surprises me more than the damn F2000 because it competed against the Browning m1917 and m1919 back in ww1 and lost The army favored those machine guns more, yet it appears in this game, even if it’s production stopped.

man the amount of the same sounding reloads is a bit maddening. it is even more so when you realize a lot of them are just reused from COD WW2. it is a lot to constantly hear it.
