I think this is where the future of music is headed. Not specifically the genre used here, but this type of midi control. With the practically zero latency sound controllers and amazingly powerful software we have now, anything can be produced. It begins with people saying its less than music and progresses to something more than music.

this takes hand-eye coordination to a whole new level.
@TracReed10 жыл бұрын
Then you have not seen mania or osu or taiko before that takes some serious hand eye coordination and a lot faster button clicking then this, imagine this song at double the speed.
@Xephentor10 жыл бұрын
Trac Reed Not really. I'm also a player of O2Jam and other similar games (Of course, O!M as well). First of all, rhythm game demand every player to have a really good hand and eye coordination, but let's look at other aspect. Rhythm game are limited to 8K (well, PSP hold the records for having 10 keys for a rhythm game), and your eyes are fixed to the falling notes (not talking about any other types of rhythm game here). Your hard is also fixed to the specific button that you have to push (As for me, ASD[Space]KL;). Launchpad are not limited in terms of keys (could reach to 128K according to the song that you're going to play), and the rhythms are all up to the player. It's harder to keep the same tempo without any cues or anything rather than just pressing the button according to the cues (yes, I'm talking about the falling notes). For short, you can't compare these two, as they serves different purposes. One is for entertainment, one is for real music production. tl;dr? just ignore me :D
@Jurmicc10 жыл бұрын
Trac Reed holy crap!
@TracReed10 жыл бұрын
pratama000 I guess most of the stuff you are saying is correct but he does not really need to look at anything if there is no like sheet that tells him what to click so hand eye cordination is more of a rhythm game thing and the launchpad is more memorization, well that is just what I think I might be completely wrong and sound like an idiot but I don't know everything xD
@Xephentor10 жыл бұрын
Trac Reed Nope, you're correct. Launchpad is indeed, not a hand-eye coordination, but more like hand and memory coordination. And sometimes it's not only about memorization, but also improvisation (since you don't look at anything, you could improvise to the max).
