Traffic cops?? All I saw this 6 mins was 2 vehicles rushing to a scene that's already attended and ok.. Maybe they needed assistance there but to get there seeing them runing like lunatics giving handshakes while paramedics trying to save the guys life! And note not one traffic official from all that are at the scene is actually guiding the traffic!! Just smiles videos and handshakes!! The ONLY ONES that are actually doing their job are the paramedics!!! This is a total disgrace and lack of professionalism!!

So, this was an Bike accident. Already 2 traffic cars and a police van on the scene. Why did these to cowboys had to go there aswell? Traffic was ok, Road was blocked off. And why the horn aswell If they dont respond to the frikken siren they will newer respond to the horn. Or was it because a tv crew was along for the joy ride.

Martin Booker Why are you so sensitive to this? It works this way globally. Are you one of these 'i do what I want because i pay my taxes' locals?
@black_knight_enviro9 жыл бұрын
Marlon ZA I'm sure the cops could've used their radios to determine if they were actually NEEDED at a scene that- by the looks of things- was already well under control, before playing Need For Speed and pissing the public off unnecessarily. Behaviour like this only serves to reinforce the perception that the guys drive like cowboys...as can be evidenced by their frequent criss-crossing of lanes. No wonder the public don't know where to position themselves on the road as the coppers themselves don't appear to have a clue?
@ruaribond86719 жыл бұрын
Martin Booker The Horn is connected directly to the rambler tone of the siren. So its not just the driver making extra noise.
@YASKME0078 жыл бұрын
If assigned a task, whether other people are attending also, you just have to do your job..So whether others responded already, these guys still had to go as were probably assigned by 10111 to attend.

So sad for the bike rider and his family. If the cops really want to do something about bike safety they'll come back to the M5 on a weekend night. Every weekend, in the early hours of the morning, you can hear bikes racing between Plumstead and Mowbray at crazy speeds from miles away. But I suppose weekend nights are an inconvenience for traffic cops.

@David Thomas It's a public road, douchenozzle. It carries people who want no part in those risks, they just want to get home. It literally is EVERYONE's business. They must go have a good time on a closed track. What part of that is hard for you?

I do agree with some of your opinions, what role/purpose did the ghost squad have at this accident ? was it necessary for them to be there ? Often people call for the police and are told they dont have a vehicle to respond at this time, now we know why . I personally have followed cops to see if ..A.. they are responding to an emergency , or ...B abusing there power, sorry to report , on 4 occasions , once said police have gotten through the heavy traffic , the sirens are turned off and the rush is abated .
@Lunchyyy8 жыл бұрын
Just because you followed them doesn't mean they just used the sirens to get out of traffic. There are many reasons as to why a unit would be called off.
@alexanderpienaar3111 Жыл бұрын
And they are needed at the scene, because they are an undercover traffic uinit, they need to investigate if someone was under the influence or what caused the accident for a statement for insurance claims and court cases, my mother is a ghost squad officer, and my uncle is in a wheel chair because of such a accident, without that statements from police, the insurance whould have never paid for the damages

typical of our SA officers. only problem is death is becoming the normal here in South Africa. the "M5" you saw was reference to a road here in Cape Town and was actually misleading,as they used a national road called the N2,M5 was the road that rider was connecting to,that bend leads you to the M5.... just a small stat: this year from the 1st of june to the 3rd,46 murders took place.....roughly 1 and bit per hour....in the Cape. yet in the normal parts of town,waaaaaay less than that. thats all gang related or robbery,etc,related murders in dangerous areas.

@Jeffc2884 жыл бұрын
Ashley Daniels oh, there’s definitely no comparison. I just found the video misleading. I didn’t know that about the road. Thank you. And, yes, there are a lot of fatalities in m5’s. But they’re heck of a lot safer than many other vehicles out there. I’d rather crash in one than a Prius. Lol

Fun, but meaningless response, already two marked traffic vehicles closing the lane, with another 3 or 4 SAPS vehicles on scene. Along with the two Fire Vehicles, two ambulances and 4 Paramedic rapid response vehicles. More lights and sirens won't do any more good. How did you get a ride along with the Ghosts though? That looks super interesting.
