Good review! I prefer the m40 to the m50. The plastic parts on the m50 are fragile and can break easily. It's harder to swap filters, especially with cbrn gloves on. More of a chance of breaking the seal when swapping the filters.

Great video, I have one as well and you are right about the white self sealing valves and their durability/tension. There are are pros and cons to it. Mine personally fell off and went missing so I just leave the actual filters themselves attached even though it’s not recommended.

Do your M61 filters leak a bit of activated charcoal? I noticed some black specs when you pulled off one of the white self sealing valve disks.

As an M40 fanboy (on account of it’s the only mask i own so far and i love it very much) the M50 being the successor to it gives me mixed feelings. Its biggest problem: M50 just doesn’t look as cool ☹️
