I love how Sreten makes this looks sooo easy. Make no mistake, there's a shit ton of work done here, multiple hours through multiple days and a lot of frustration. I once replaced my spark plugs on my motorcycle and had a Britney Spears breakdown that I'm still recovering from.

I, too, am a huge fan of Sreten & Derek; but they couldn't be more dissimilar, right?! 🙂 Derek: "We'll just pretend we didn't see that" and drives death traps on the road; swear the man gives me a nervous fit every now on then. Sreten: fixes everything like new, to almost obsessive detail ("I'm not going to go crazy with the engine bay"... proceeds to do just that) and rarely, if ever, drives a car in death trap mode. And yet I wouldn't change a single thing about either of them! 😀

@@TheFastgeek I like 40ºC summer days, and I like -20ºC winter nights, each their own way. Sometimes the contrast is good. Both Sreten and Derek are amazing working on cars, their way of doing it is just very different from each other. I love Sreten's attitude to go as far as he feels he needs to get a car to its worthy state, all the technical stuff, the editing... I love Derek's laid back "get it done", and I have learned so many great words from him. I don't think I'll revert from saying things like sparkulators, lightning hoses, electrodigicals... _I don't know_ ... It just sounds better! Wouldn't change a thing about their channels either!

I have a 32 year old J30 Nissan Maxima. One thing, i dont have the money for such restoration, but the other thing is, if i have, Nissan does not have and sell spare parts this much (close to nothing), as you have for old BMW's. And if i would have the money and parts in some multiverse, there is no such mechanic in the world, as you are, i think. Respekt my man, really enjoy watching your videos!

The best part about vapor blasting is that the glass bead blasting media tends to peen closed the surface pores of aluminum resulting in a silky smooth surface finish that doesn't even oxidize as quickly as freshly cast aluminum. If you are blasting particularly delicate aluminum castings you can also switch from a solid glass bead media to a hollow glass bead media which shatters on impact and carries less force. It isn't as good at removing surface imperfections, but it does impact the surface finish less. I always loved the low, lean bodies of the BMWs from this generation of cars. Nowadays the shoulder line of cars is so tall and they just look bulky and cumbersome. Even this land barge of a stretched 700 series looks entirely reasonably sized due to the design ideology of the time. It's just a shame that it wasn't painted a more interesting color, but it still retains its stately elegance.

You absolutely satisfied my ocd by Vaporblasting that oil filter cap….🤩 in my mind I was like: “did he really not see that dirty oilfiter cap?? 😱” Love the rebuild…my dad owned a black E32 735i M30. Which unfortunately was stolen in Denmark, recovered from joyriding in Germany and rebuild. Then crashed another time and rebuild, then sold. Oh joys of 90’s memories !

As a 30 year owner of a '91 E32, I cannot wait to see how you deal with the hydropneumatic rear leveling system (LAD) as you deal with the back end!. I hope you spend extran time on that part of the project! I had to take my 750iL off the road 10 years ago because Pentosin 7.1 at $13.00 (US) per quart was getting too expensive to make a trip into town! I would pour a new can into the front reservoir, and it would pour out the rear shocks as fast as I poured it in! 😭 I wouldn't have a clue what Pentosin cost today! Looking forward to that episode of Project Karlsruhe!
