M5StickC Plus2 is Evil Flipper Zero Cousin

This is a simple pocket watch with a SET function and a Stopwatch function. There is also a hidden TV-B-GONE feature that can turn any TV on or off. Usually, the time on my clock projects is set in the code, but in this case, I added a part in the UI that is in charge of setting the time. I found this cool software named M5Burner, which allows easy firmware installation on any M5Stack board. I have many subscribers who are beginners and are still not comfortable with the Arduino IDE, all the libraries, and settings. Now, we can use M5Burner to easily flash my examples.

Thank you for this. I was able to get this on my M5SCP2 via the M%burner, but also, I was able to get it uploaded using the Arduino app as well. It was the first project I was successful getting uploaded and working via Arduino app. Some of the things you said just finally made it "click." Thanks again. Hello Volos, Nice M5StickC device and Thank's for your great work with these boards. My question is: When you use TFT_eSPI libraries for M5StickC Plus2 which ESP32 board do you select in the TFT_eSPI lib Setup? There are no M5StickC Plus2 boards to select in the Library?

No, you dont edit tft_espi, you use their m5stack board definitions. There is no need to edit tft-espi lib

The only downside for me are my old eys .. need a Goggle to check.. a little bit bigger 2x would also catch the alderly... Great video. Thx. I got myself a M5Stick Plus C2. And after I put the first example code on it via Arduino IDE - the display kept dark. So I was very happy to find this video and the instructions with the M5 Burner.... However. What is working with this are only the official programms like the "M5StickCPlus2 UserDemo". So I got the stick at least back to life. But unfortunately no way to run the program shown in this video or any other "unoffical". Any help is welcome. Rgrds

that's weird, ... you need to make sure that example is for cPlus2 , because there is three version of m5stick

Yes I tried only the ones for the M5Stick Plus 2.... but it's always the same... if I put any code on it the display blinks for a millisecond and then the display keeps dead... same if I put your example with the M5Burner to the stick... I can only get it back working with the official demo ;-( Thx anyway. If it operates like this I have to sent it back ;-(

Not a big fan of m5 stack a lot of their libraries are self limited and buggy AF especially involving BT and wireless. You'll spend most of your time just doing work arounds. Just get an esp32 instead it's the same thing just not proprietary much cheaper and open source libraries.

Seriously, these are wonderful devices for us tinkerers. So much possibilities in such a small space with a screen, mike, WiFi, BT, battery and with a case. I just love these for smal experiments. Planning on using them for all my LED strip project as well as for traffic nuisance (sound, vibrations,…).
