M6 Logo History

Welp, another short logo history! This time it's from a French company called M6. It is a private television channel based in France own by M6 Group, which is owned by RTL Group. Originally scheduled to start as RTL 6 in 1985, TV6 instead took its place as a sort of variant of MTV, before changing into the M6 name known today. In this video we will be looking at the network and home video division. Credit for all logos and captures belong to everyone who made them, no matter if they are the copyright owner, in which they are shown in this video.

Hi! I'm french and i want to tell you that in 0:46 that was not M6 this was tv6, a Channel who has been deleted in november 86' because several left-wing politicians (democracy) wanted to suppress the channel, (unfairly because we do not know the reason) and after RTL group created M6. But in any cases there is no connection between these two channels !! Edit the description of the video please!

Edit: The person who made the m6 logo and idents between 1987-2003 is called Étienne Robial.

@@leejoe86686 M6 and TV6 were not from the same companies (+ they had completely different politics), when M6 appeared in 28 Feb 1987 after the demise of TV6, everything was completely different. The only common point is that M6 continued to broadcast on the same wave/frquency as TV6 the day after its disappearance.
