Would it not be "Company, minus tanks"? The way you put it doesnt make any sense to me. Since we are putting focus on the comma, which i dont think matters in this sentence anyway. Ok, i just saw the part your talking about. To me it still seems like a none native English speaker wrote that or that it would be telling "Company Minus" that there are tanks present.

The default AAR setting was recently changed to "player involved" rather than just player shots, so that's why it showed the enemy hit on your tank.

Any unit minus just means the unit is short an element. A company minus is missing a platoon.

Just an aside: Tank company during the M60 age would have had 16 tanks (five per platoon, three platoons, plus the COs tank). Back in the dinosaur days, we had three tank companies, a combat support company (mortars, scouts, Red Eye platoon) and HHC. Of course, in those days, we had optical range finders until the A2 and then A3 came out. Looks like Table X gunnery at Graf, minus the guys shooting back.

This is one of the best G,H,PC videos I’ve seen. Love the use of helicopters, artillery, and CAS in one mission. My only complain is that the map looks a little pristine for a Cold War gone hot scenario. I’d image such a battlefield to look more like how Ukraine does right now.

Wolfpack, the comma in the scout report got you. It was a "company minus" with tanks. I don't know about cold war era, but when I was in the Army in the 90s, an armored "company minus" meant the company was short a platoon. Usually because a platoon of tanks was 'attached to infantry', meaning they had been loaned to an infantry company. Likewise, the infantry company that the armor platoon was attached to had also detached/assigned a platoon of infantry to the armored company. Hope this helps.

GHPC is brilliant in its depth of simulation in regards to hits and damage. But where it excels at that is fails in the scenery... no terrain deformation, limited infantry deployment and I've yet to see any USSR helicopters.

USSR was not added at the time. It was only East Germany, though they did have MI-24s. I know MI-24s were recently included in the Soviet Update.

those are the wrong model of cobra for the time period... this isnt 1960s/70s vietnam era. this is mid to late 80s right? they should be E/F model cobras with 20mm cannons. not Q/S models with the derpy Miningun/40mm GL turrets.

Game is set in 1985 iirc. Use of a Phantom for CAS is weird too i think. Maybe they were switched to CAS duties after vietnam but really, I think an F-111 would be better...

F4G is wrong IMO for CAS here. F4G for SEAD and recon but A-10 and F-111 for 1980's era CAS.

Your Intel is wrong on cobra but it's ok cause they were named in a confusing way. These are early converted ah-1 with tow kits and combination gun pod. You don't see ah-1 with the flat panel cockpit until 87 or even later in Europe. Why? I'm not sure. Just check photography from on exercise.

When I was a kid. I really liked the M551, When I was in Germany in the 80's one of my friends was an M60A3 tank commander He really loved his TANK and crew . He told me at range one day his crew could fire a round then have next round loaded before suspension settled from recoil.

It’s so much more than equipment. The Ukrainians at the start of the war had pretty 2nd tier Soviet era equipment, and the Russians had pretty top tier gear, but had really poor organizational problems, which caused massive problems. Things have recently kind of stabilized.
