Could you take a photo of cable connections? I have the same device but cables are dislocated

How deep is the device, and is it possible to develop the device to increase the depth?

I believe the sensitivity was around 6-8 inches. I don't know of any way to increase the distance detection on any model.

Just bought the same model at a yard sale . It turns on and indicates batt power and dial is moving but not detecting and no sound any ideas ? All help appreciated

No sound could be speaker wires are disconnected. The tuning knobs may need to be adjusted to be able to pick up metal signals. If tuning doesn't work, open it up and check for loose or broken wires. Try not to pull too hard and dislodge any more wires though.
