This song makes me think of my son Wessley. Last year, after the Dr's confirmed he had brain cancer, I pushed him in his wheelchair as we left the appointment. He wanted a coffee from Dunkin Donuts across from the Neuro-Oncologist office. As he stood up to go inside with me, he said, "I feel like I've wasted so much of my life." I told him it wasn't over. Less then 2 months later, surrounded by friends and family I held his head in my lap while watching him exhale one last time. A piece of my soul shattered in that moment. I will never be who I once was. I will see you again one day Wes! I love you with all that I am, now, and until time ceases to exist. Your "Favorite" Mom.

This so heart breaking to read. I hope you find peace. "send out your dreams" and not be afraid of where it leads, "give your tears to the tide", and become at peace. There is "no time” life is not for waiting. “There’s no end, there is no goodbye”

I don't know if anyone will ever see this, but I just feel kinda lost and alone. This song perfectly captures what I'm feeling right now. No purpose, no goal. Just stuck in a point in my life and I can't seem to get out of. I'm just stuck with myself. But yeah, I guess that's how life goes and that's how humans get to grow from their experiences. I do have dreams, but I'm scared of pursuing them. Scared that I'll never be able to make them come true. It's like a never ending cycle of me wanting to pursue my dreams, me being scared, me being stuck and doing things I don't like. And then it begins again. But in general I'm grateful for what I already have and I don't want be seen as someone who's complaining. Cause I'm not, I just feel lost and alone right now. This song perfectly represents the way that I'm feeling. I wish you all the best if you're reading this and may life take you to somewhere you'll be happy!
@rahishah78885 жыл бұрын
Hey you, having dreams is a great starting point. But please, don't shy away from pursuing them. I don't know you nor do I know anything about your circumstances or your place in life. Just know this: if you truly want something, the universe always has a plan for making it come true. You have to take the first step. Trust me, you don't want to regret not following your dreams later in life. Give it a shot. If you succeed, you'll live happily ever after, and if you fail, you will know in your heart that you gave it all you possibly could. Much love. :)

Ayah, most people do feel lost and alone. And most people from day to day are not buffeted by the winds of life. They are buffeted by the tumultuous nature of other people. Everyone is adrift and for the most part equally untethered to any kind of faith within themselves. And that is ok 😊 your ok. She. You find that one intuition.. that one thread of synchronicitity inside of yourself, when you realize that it's not manifesting or synchronicity at all. But just a feeling. A feeling of knowing. That one feeling is with you underneath all of the anxiety and fear of other people... You realize so much of what your feeling is not your feelings at all. They are reverberations and echos of someone else's mental and emotional tides. Your just an antenna. But somewhere inside of you is 💯 an understanding. It's not a purpose or a mission or anything to do with the material work. It's a starting point of your own personal faith. In that moment you are untouchable and you are the anchor. It's so hard to articulate that knowing, but it's love and ambition and letting go until death all rolled into one. In between the spaces of other people's reactions to you being completely calm you'll see how much life you are really living. And your purpose is not about anything you've been told or values that the world seems important. Your value comes from holding onto that knowing and feeling it, walking it and standing in it in the midst of the world. God depends on it. It is the essence of faith It is a very lonely place. Love True Love that's never tainted or manipulated or corrupted steps into that. No need to win your agenda or prove a point or manipulate someone else. You are the agenda and just by being aligned with that very tiny seemingly insignificant knowing inside of yourself you anchor yourself in faith and the whole universe is quantamly emeshed with God's plan for you. Without a word the whole of the world's historical reality and it's epigenetic lineage is bound to every manifest thought you have. The loneliness comes from the need of two people to join together in faith.. for something to endure in the world it takes two. And a cord of three is very difficult to break. You'll find your place soon enough.

Whenever this made up universe of mine eventually gets destroyed, then it's time to see what the actual after life is all about, i'm in no rush to figure that out yet, it wont matter how long i would chose to stay, the end would be the same no matter. But i would rather do it this way, than to have blind faith in reincarnation with full memory or some kind of heaven, which may not even exist. While if i went digital and simulated my own universes, reincarnation would be the way, but taking with our memories, and living way longer than our mere 70-100 years of age, you may think 100 years is a long time, but it is actually way too short, there are even sharks living 400+ years, turtles 200+ years, you get the idea, and even that is too short, if we only get this one chance at life, then we should find a way to extend our lives, we must find a way.
@playerone144 жыл бұрын
@@jediwarlock1 I hear what you're saying. I think the fact that we have a limited time in these bodies means we are to make the most of our time in this universe. The universe has eternal life, we are just along for a short ride in it. And I also believe we can connect to our past lives for guidance. Remembering your current life in a new body may sound good on paper, but I think if I was to be reborn it would be much nicer to feel that my life is my own again, and not that of someone who's already had their time.

Please read. This song makes me remember my friends Sheila and Tim. The year I met them was the best year of my life. They showed me understanding and just how much people could care. I'd come from a life of being bullied and abused and put down for 16 years so meeting people who cared as much as they did really turned my life around. Sheila was Tim's mom and the most caring soul you'd have the pleasure of knowing - an angel on earth. We'd sit and talk over coffee for hours at a time. Tim was an incredibly smart person. An iq of around 160..graduated high school at 15 and into college right away. He had a really hard time feeling like he fit in with his peers and people always say that the smartest people do. A couple years after I moved back to Canada, there was talks of him getting into hard drugs. Heroin. I got a message one day a few years ago that he had overdosed and passed away. Just over a year later, Sheila overdosed on pills because she couldn't stand not having her son with her. Before she died, she made me promise that I would tell people about Tim so here I am telling you. So you know the world had these wonderful, beautiful souls that went away far too soon. I don't know you but I love you. Try to be strong. And remember the names Sheila and Timothy.

So I'm here, on this earth, in a universe filled with at least 100 billion galaxies. Within those galaxies are an unknowable number of stars. Orbiting those stars are even more planets. We find ourselves alive. Carbon based life forms with the ability to create. Conscious beings living out the bittersweet thing we call life. 17 years old, commenting on a music video that touched my heart. Music. Art. Philosophy. Science. Everything we've created. We ask why. So many questions. The truth is the answers aren't important. The answers are likely to leave us disappointed. Unfulfilled. The beauty of it all is that we are able to ask why. Now go, love somebody, cherish the time you have left. Life is precious. You're precious. It's almost impossible to completely grasp this. Find comfort in not knowing. It's the only way. And if you think you know, think again. All of this, I'm communicating with you because of language. Something we created. It's magnificent. Ignore the grammatical errors. They don't matter. What matters is the fact that there is such a thing as grammatical errors. Long story short, there is no answer to the question "why is there something rather than nothing?". Please, I'm begging you. Push through the hard times. Cherish the fact that hard times exist. Appreciate your existence. There will be a time when no one is left to appreciate all of man kinds accomplishments. So don't waste another minute. Much love - Something 2018- I’ve decided to add some thoughts here after a few years. To everyone who has responded, thank you. I occasionally come back here to help with my attempt at being more mindful day to day. It’s mind blowing to see how many people have had positive introspection in reading my comment. I’m grateful.

If this song doesn’t play when I graduate high school, I will cry. It would be such a beautiful song to play. This song could have multiple meanings that probably have nothing to do with this, but to me, I feel like this song shows how fast you grow up and how little time we truly have in this world, so don’t take anything for granted. Live your life and live it to the fullest no matter what you're going through. No matter what you do, always remember to be happy, enjoy life, have fun, and cherish the little things. Don’t wait to do something because you never know truly how long you have left. Don’t let anything or anyone hold you back. Be yourself. Do what you love. Time is precious. I think that's a part of why it would be such a cool song to hear when graduating. I grew up with this song, and M83 has always had some of the greatest music ever. I will forever love this song. I would like to share some advice to all of you, even though I am only 16 and still have a lot to discover. I feel the need to share words of encouragement, especially because I have experienced similar feelings. It's completely alright to feel fear about the unknown future, losing loved ones, or not attaining happiness. However, it's important not to let fear hinder your progress. Eventually, you must acknowledge that growth and the exploration of life's wonders are essential. Life can indeed be intimidating Yet, life is a journey that shouldn't be spent worrying endlessly about situations beyond your control. Focus on the present moment, as it’s all we truly have. Embrace the now, and value each fleeting second, because time is unpredictable. Remember, you are not alone in your struggles although life can be challenging, it also holds fragments of joy that make every hardship worthwhile. I realized about life's beauty a year ago, when I went through a heartbreak that seemed insurmountable. Though the pain was all consuming at the time, I found peace in self discovery, growth, and healing. The pain was temporary, and I realized that embracing each new day with effort and determination leads to eventual happiness. You have the strength to overcome obstacles, seek joy, and live fully I believe in you.

Last November, my grannie called me over to her house. When I got over there, she told me it was her time to go. The next night, my dad called me and told me to come back over to her house. She was laying peacefully in her bed with her eyes barely open. She whispered it was her time to go a few more times. While I watched her, I noticed how beautiful her skin was glowing. It looked perfect. She was 93. Then she said thank God every day you have in this life and ask for forgiveness. She said all she wanted was her family to love each other and be happy. She was passing on to another place. She kinda gasped but it wasn’t that she couldn’t breathe. She was seeing things that was taking her breath away and it was the most emotional thing I’ve experienced. Then she said, “Mama!” My great grand mother has been dead for years. Then she pointed up and said in a rather loud voice, “I’m going home!!” I’m so thankful I got to share that with her. It was the day after my birthday that she died.

My girlfriend's was in the hospital and her last message to me was "I don't want to die", like a silent cry. I did not know where they'd move her, I did not know who was taking care of her. The little I could hope for was that if she'd survive, she'd reach out to me. And there was nothing I could do, nothing but being with her in thoughts, with this song. I can't hear it too much now because it tears my brain up. But she made it back to us, she crawled out and made it back from darkness. We're back together. I am happy she survived and she is with us.

If I had to define music....(as a metal head mainly i enjoy most genres of music) This is music... This is what it was supposed to be... the sounds of ones heart channeled through a series of chords, notes and through ones own voice to make an impact on another persons heart... this does it... so very well... this is music... it's not about head banging, it's not about swag, it's not about money and it will never be about how many views it's gonna get... it's about that lasting impact, it's mean to be remembered, it's meant to remind you... it's meant to flood you with so much emotion you get lost in the very song itself.... to me this is music

This song will forever remind me of my first relationship. It was our first date, we knew we were into eachother but I was so shy; while we were next to the ice rink we were holding hands and she was kissing my cheeks, she wanted me to kiss her too but I didn't know how, I was petrified, what if I did it wrong? what if she didn't like it? As the date went on it was getting late and I had to do something, then "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri starts playing, then she asks me "what song would you pick for this moment? I'd pick this one", "I don't know what song will come next and I don't know If I'd pick it for this moment" I replied. She told me to play the song on my phone and borrow her my headphones. I had no idea what song to pick, should I pick Classic? Rock? Pop? something romantic?, "Forget it!!!" I said, let randomness decide this one. I opened the music app tapped on shuffle and this song appeared "Wait" by M83, I thought it was a great pick, although at the time I didn't get the lyrics, would it be weird for her to listen this song at this moment? but I remembered it had such a calm, peaceful yet sad vibe, so I picked it. She put on my headphones and the song started playing, we hugged for 2 straight songs and I recall listening through the headphones while we were hugging, we were both listening and at that specific moment I felt some kind of bond that I've never felt before, I was so happy, calmed, excited, in love, I knew I had to treasure that moment forever. Eventually we kissed and became lovers and although it only lasted for 3 months, I learned so much with her, she taught me to love myself, helped me with my insecurities, she changed the way I used to be, she made me a better person overall, we spent such a great time together. Last night I was listening music and "Wait" started playing, not even 3 seconds into the song and I was already in tears, and finally it made sense to me, I can now appreciate its beauty, in this song both Anthony and Yann Gonzalez (composers) leave us with magnificent lyrics that each one of us can interpret according to what we've been through, so that's why what I understand might not be the same to what you understand. What I understand from this lyrics is that you have to put away your fears, send your dreams somewhere you feel at peace with yourself somewhere you don't have to hide, you have to be brave no matter how hard it seems and that it's ok to cry and hurt, but always remember that you have to let go and move on "give your tears to the tide", you can't get stuck in the past because time doesn't stop "no time". "There's no end, there is no goodbye" for me it has different meanings, it could mean that even if our loved ones are no longer in this world they'll always be in our hearts, we can visit them in our memories. And in the other hand it could mean that in the end of a relationship, it may not be the last goodbye, maybe it's not the time and place to be together, therefore it's not the end. "Dissapear with the night"letting things flow, let go your fears, regrets and sorrows. Live in the present, do what you love the most, love with all of your heart, seek for inspiration and motivation. Because remember there's "no time". What a numinous song! Anyways it's just something that I wanted to share, thanks for reading if you've made it this far. My dear Nancy I will forever love you, thanks for all of the memories we shared together

M83's song "Wait" can be interpreted to talk about how life is in constant motion, and you can't delay it or wait for it. It's telling the listener to find a way to come to terms with this and to use this time wisely. The lyrics encourage the listener to "send out your dreams" and not be afraid of where it leads, to "give your tears to the tide", and to become one with the night without hesitation. The refrain of "no time" repeatedly emphasizes this idea of life not waiting for you, and it is up to you to take control of the present.

@@Jadayeliab mine will be gone 7 months tomorrow the 21st. I still have his toys and his treat at the same spot he last left them. Some day I’ll have the courage to put them away but not now. Sorry to hear about your loss. I still take my walks but it’s not easy nor the same. A tether is missing to my soul but do know with time it gets easier. I still talk to him as he was my greatest joy. He knew all my secrets and strengths. He waited for me when I was gone and now I wait for the day we are united again. In the meantime I cherish each day and someday look to see if I have strength to save a rescue. And perhaps this rescue will be him telling me it’s okay ❤ as you may do to.

“Human touch. Our first form of communication. Safety, security, comfort, all in the gentle caress of a finger. Or the brush of lips on a soft cheek. It connects us when we're happy, bolsters us in times of fear, excites us in times of passion and love. We need that touch from the one we love, almost as much as we need air to breathe. But I never understood the importance of touch. His touch. Until I couldn't have it. So if you're watching this, and you're able, touch him. Touch her. Life's too short to waste a second.”

Not to sound like a crazy person but I discovered this band tonight in the dark when I couldn’t fall asleep. I was listening to a lot of songs like this one and Outro and Intro on repeat and it literally felt transcendent. I was wishing all of the imagery I saw in my head and emotion I felt could be captured visually and I ran across this video. I am in awe of how everything I was experiencing and feeling was captured in this video. After reading a lot of the comments it dawned on me. I remembered that humanity is so deep and yet so simple that the amazing people who created this work of art along with the band can create something so beautiful that it captures a feeling that resonates with all of us. In a sense a beautiful hypnotic trance of harmonized emotion. This song can be heard at the beginning of existence or the end of total world and it still radiates the same energy, maybe even peace? If you read up to this point, thank you. It felt nice to be heard.

A project on which its creator tries to coin new words to address certain feelings that currently don't have a name (at least in the English language). I regret wanting to grow up so hard and being independent that I now miss taking life too serious at age 15 when I could’ve been more careless and affecionate towards my family. I regret being so aloof because of my problems at school. I wish I had a memory of how much I wanted to tell everyone in my family that I was so happy, never wanted to grow up and love them so much. Writing this crying as I am approaching my 18th birthday in a few weeks. I miss being my little self..

I just reached my 18th last October and after living alone for a year and going through so many ups and downs, I can officially confirm I regret trying to grow up so fast. I feel like I literally lost being a 16-17 year old because I had to focus on paying my rent.. It’s ok though sis we can get through this, I’m sure had we of went an opposite route we would be then wondering what it would be like to grow up fast if you know what I mean... that’s what I like to tell myself when I regret the past 2 years of my life.
