21.10.2018 r po nocy spędzonej w Śląskim Domu i zdobyciu Gerlacha dnia poprzedniego, przyszedł czas na powrót do Polski. Warunki przybrały postać iście zimowych. Postanowiłem udać się trekingowo po wyznaczonym szlaku na jeden z pobliskich szczytów w drodze powrotnej. Ten film jest relacją z drogi jaką pokonałem.

Byłem w tym roku na Małej Wysokiej mając piękne widoki w sierpniu idąc z palanicy białczanskiej. Przepiękny szlak, szybkie zmiany widoków no i widać najwyższy korony Tatr zajęło mi to około 11h. Szkoda, że u ciebie takie Mleko na szczycie . Pozdrawiam serdecznie, odważna wyprawa

Dear friends and subscribers of Dominik. It has been already a year since my beloved Son Dominik passed away. There’s not a single day I would have not watched his videos or listened to the music he had used, and hearing it always makes me see him wandering on the ridges.It’s been a year, yet the numbers of views on His channel have been increasing continuously. Videos are still being watched and theres more and more subscribers.Under each of them, there’s always lots of new comments. Especially during this period of time. I’m not able to answer each of them individually, it’s impossible in my situation. Some of them are short, while other are very deep and well thought, but what’s most important; every single one of them is filled with memory and respect for Him, caused by the needs of Your hearts, the same sensibility that Dominik had, and passion for mountains. „The one who lives in a memory of the ones who remain alive, never dies indeed”. Therefore; Dominik is alive in You. For me and my family, who have been bereaved, it is very heart warming and moving. It keeps us going. From the depth of my heart; thank You for all that. I’d like to mention, we’ve met Dominik’s friends and family (I’ll let myself automatically call them that), who decided to make an effort and come visit Dominik’s grave in person. Example of such friend is Gracjan Wolski, with whom Dominik enjoyed His last successful hike to Świnica, and who’s hike to Koperszadzka Przełęcz was dedicated to Dominik:kzbin.info/www/bejne/pafakKKDmMeWqpY Thank You to those, who visited us at home; Mr. Adam Zakrzewski, or Mr. Paweł Kurowski, who brought rocks from Rysy and Giewont with an intention to include them somehow within the grave. Some people we’ve met at the cemetery, about one person we’ve heard that went 300km by bike just to visit Dominik. Aleksander Maria Dzic and Jakub Jachymiak have found us and joined us to a hike under the wall of Mały Kieżmarski Szczyt. I’d like to specifically mention Mr. Michał Świderski, who used to transcript Dominik’s videos to English, absolutely non profit. Whats more, he also created detailed, chronological video document, showing all Dominik’s achievements. We didn’t expect that Dominik’s testimony would reach so many people. Thank you to all of You, who surround the thought of Dominik with positive emotions, but also thank you to everyone who, in contrast to the majority of people, perceive Him and His achievements differently. I hope one day You’ll get to see how sensitive and noble boy He was, and eventually You’ll change your minds. Anyways, I’m sure He would still answer to your comments respectfully and gratefully, because that’s just who He was. We’ve hiked to the place of that fatal accident few times already, last time in October 2020 accompanied by whole Dominik’s University group, for which this journey was the first time they’ve organized altogether. Although it was against the TANAP policy, on the rock in the wall of Mały Kieżmarski Szczyt we’ve placed a metal cross with His figure. Unfortunately, TANAP found out about our action and ordered us to remove it, from legal reasons. However, the pandemic didn’t create a convenient conditions for abroad travel, so until now we haven’t done that. At the same time, we have an agreement to place a memorial board at symbolic cemetery near Osterwa. The place of Dominik’s tragic accident is visible from an online camera placed in the Shelter near Zielone Pleso: www.ladovemedvede.sk/ZelenePleso/zelenepleso.jpg At this occasion, I have to mention the rescuers of TOPR and HZS. We will never forget the help that they’ve offered Dominik in Tatra Mountains. I bow my head low for them. We are trying to maintain Dominik’s youtube channel for as long as it’s possible, and all the incomes that it generates we send to TOPR. That’s what we, as a family decided. Here I need to mention, that Dominik has bought an insurance that was covering treating and rescue actions below 6000 meters above sea level in the whole world (except for Antarctica). I keep facing questions about Dominik’s and Krzysztof’s go pro videos from that day. Yes, I have them, but we are not emotionally ready to reveal them to a bigger audience. Plus we cannot do that without Krzysztof’s parents permission, as we can’t separate those recordings. Accept my apologies, but the wounds are still too fresh. Please, keep some warm thoughts of Krzysztof too, as Dominik’s fate was tangled with his in the last moments. Dominik was exceptionally talented, inteligent (which sometimes made me ashamed of myself) and brilliant. He’s always had that gentle look in His eyes, that always radiated through His face. Had a great ear for music, he learned how to play extremely complicated piano tracks, fully by himself. He used to pass every exam in the first term, and when asked, He’d say humbly; „Ah, it’s nothing, just hit the key”. He built above average physical condition. Was very persistent in the realization of his plans. To get all needed equipment, he had to earn money by himself (while studying medicine). Sometimes he would work night shifts, just because it was better paid. To each of his hikes he was always perfectly prepared; he would study the topography, check weather nearly every hour, get basic general knowledge about every place he planned on visiting. During His hikes he always knew when to say stop, when to move back, return back home safely. Even though His ambitions were exceptional, He could swallow his pride when the stake was as big as His safety, what you can see in His videos. Listen, there must have been something amazing about that boy. Something unique, something that could steal Your hearts and minds, and that would make You feel respect, admiration or maybe even fascination. Some of you started following His paths, faced some of His challenges. Others reborn in that passion, and finally some of You experienced Dominik’s help and encouragement to fighting Your own weaknesses, and motivated to discovering mountains. But surely, He inspired all of us by something so important, yet unexplainable; simple, humble, natural human’s behavior. To finish, on behalf of my family, I’d like to say thank you for remembering and mentioning about Dominik, for every good word. I wish you only successful and safe hikes, full of breathtaking views. May they always bring joy and positive energy into Your lives, and may they always be accompanied by the memory of our beloved Son, Dominik.
