Yeah, except for me it was one of their missile towers. I was literally THAT close to finishing the mission and somehow one of my Siege tanks went a little too far in their range (in siege mode, mind you) and started attacking and destroying it. I haven't had the same luck destroying the Protoss forces there since my midway save.

I beat this mission yesterday. Didn't even need Battlecruisers or any air units. Wiped out the Protoss with 6 tanks, 2 full squads of marines, and Kerrigan. At the very end I even managed to fend off the large scripted Zerg attack 😂.

This is very nostalgic for me. I remember how I would be sitting next to my bro and he'd be playing it with the cheats at first just to know the story and then play without cheats. Either way, this had often led me hanging scared at the part where Kerrigan revealed herself as the queen of blades for the very first time.

i still remember the cheats for this game lmfao. I remember receiving a bootleg copy of this game on a CD back in 1998. This and Command and conquer tiberian dawn, and other ones are my favorite rts games to date!

I always though Mengsk is so cold heart to left his most loyal soilder behind to the zerg. But after knowing Kerrigan (beening brainwash) was the one who killed Mengsk father and his family back when he was a child by the order of the Confederacy (lore from Starcraft Uprising novel). I just don't know what to think anymore......

everyone is an asshole in the Koprulu Sector, that's all ya need to think :v The only people that aren't assholes die: Tassadar, Fenix, Kerrigan (before she becomes the Queen of Blades). Heck Raynor is pretty much the only non-asshole to not die across the whole series

thosegreengentlemen Much easier with factory units. Mass tanks and protect them with vultures and spider mines. Cut off important ground movement paths while you kill the isolated bases.

I mostly know that from watching competitive Brood War on occasion. There are definitely some cool tricks and reliable principles you can pick up. Next time you give the game a go, maybe look up wraith stacking or moving shot. It can be enjoyable to try things differently, even against ai.

When I was a little kid, I used to play this a little bit. Well, I played it a lot, but I never got very far because it was pretty hard. Somehow I lost the game and I've always wanted to play it again. Finally I bought it on the website and omg the nostalgia

Am curious if you could build a bunch of surplus supply depots in front of those ramps to see if you can block the Zerg ground units or if they’ll try to hack through them.

@@Mairou2 It worked in the final UED mission in Brood War, where the Ultralisk that took at least 10-15 Siege tank shots to kill didn't know how to get to the troops behind a solid wall of supply depots. That mission and this one gives me the fondest memories of this franchise aside from the one where we get to kill General Duke.

If you have two bases it's better to have several barracks so you don't float any minerals :)

you can bind camera locations with control + F1-9 key. Then just press the F key to return

I built 10 bunkers 20 tanks and 12 battle cruisers and I almost survived (I upgraded their weapons and plattting level 3)

I love battlecruisers. They give the enemy something tough to shoot at while I rough them up with a ton of marines and goliaths. I employ my siege tanks like artillery and to pull security to stop reinforcements from coming in.
