I followed the recipe to exact measurements and it didn’t not come out like mammuol cookies dough. More like hard pie crust, Would be helpful if recipe would show equivalent to conversion of 1 kg flour and 454 butter. I had to look it up .

+Duchess Gotti Glad you liked it, I don't recommend to keep in fridge, it will not turn out that well, so try to do it all fresh, and there is some ideas in this case to use the extra dough, make peanut butter maamoul as in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/laXFgYxrfNWeg5I or dried fruit maamoul: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKqUfnyais9sfdE or mix the dough with sweetened coconut flakes and fennel (whole or ground) and shape them, then bake

Shelley Krassi no, it is normal white sugar but you have to ground it till it become powder, don’t use confectioners powdered sugar

rabiariaz AhmedAlvi there is two kind of maamoul, this one with flour only but there is another one with semolina with different ingredients, I didn't make video to the one with semoline yet

This did not turn out as it should have..1 kg of flour according to google was 8 cups...i added the pound of butter..it wasnt enough..had to add more..dough tasted like a pie crust or scortish shortbread..will keep searching

first of all,1 kg sifted all purpose flour equal to 6 1/2 to 7 cups in usual measuring cups, no way it equal to 8 cup. second, In making maamoul you have to follow what mentioned in the recipe and don't change anything, I used kg and I didn't use cups because I know that cups size will be different from place to place, so you had to follow the weight I mentioned. and I used 1 pound butter and also added 1/3 cup of corn oil mazolla. So it didn't work with you, because you didn't follow the instructions in the recipe. When you want to make any recipe follow it exactly as it said
