Maarten Vorwerk is one of the most well known (ghost)producers of today's dance scene; he's responsible for a massive amount of hits in all kinds of different genres. Maarten recently moved back to The Netherlands, where I sat down with him, in his beautiful new studio!
Enjoy and thanks for watching!

I actually did contact another well known ghost producer last year, but he said "no" to my request :( But I know someone else who is interested, so hopefully that will happen later this year! @@nlvooruittv8976 I met him once (at the release party of Armin's "76" album at Club Asta in The Hague) and he agreed to do an interview for Trance.nu, where I was working for at that time. But that never happened.... Later I tried again to get in touch with him, but his manager said he doesn't want to do ANY interviews. I recently spoke to someone who spoke to him (via email) and he made it very clear he wants to stay in the background, so even though I would absolutely love to talk to him, I think we should respect his choice.

Great interview! I remember many years back, almost 10 years in fact, Mike from Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike contacted me to produce music for them. I had started moving away from music into software at that point, so didn't get much off the ground for them, but often wonder could I have made a decent living in that game had I put more effort into putting stuff together for them.

@@yungp8160 Yup! I didn't even know who they were. Overheard people in my class in college talking about them one day and When I showed them the emails, they showed me how big they were and that's when it dawned on me I missed a huge opportunity. I used to make and sell synthesizer patches and copyright free melodies that sold quite well, and they were very impressed by the demoes I'd made for them, so found me that way.

Geweldig interview.
@muzikxpress
@muzikxpress 3 жыл бұрын
@wolterzz3267
@wolterzz3267 3 жыл бұрын
@@muzikxpress Oh, vandaar.
@muzikxpress
@muzikxpress 3 жыл бұрын
@@wolterzz3267 Tijs doet niks zelf....

I'm not a producer / musician myself, so I really don't know much about any of these things. Well, I am Dutch ;-) This is just a hobby, I'm not a professional and I know I'm not fluent in English, but I think the content is way more important than the way I pronounce things. As long as people can understand it ;-) I can also do the interviews with Dutch people in Dutch, but than people will complain it is not in English. You can't satisfy everybody haha

@@muzikxpress true about that, it just sometimes gets on my nerves when people talk "steenkolen" English and it sort of distracts from the content, but like I mentioned before, the content in the end is what matters so looking forward to more episodes!

Anyone who uses a ghost producer to write an entire track is cringe and needs to stop being lazy and learn how to produce or get lost from the scene . I have no respect for those types of people. If you’re still new to producing and struggle with somethings I think it’s ok to have a “ghost producer” help you polish your track but that’s it. If you don’t make your own music you have no right calling it your own.

I don't like his music. Nowadays 15year old kids make better tracks.
