MABAS 24 Dolton Fire Department responded to Harvey Fire Recap 10.01.2022

On October 1st, 2022, the Dolton Fire Department responded to 154th and Broadway Ave to assist the City of Harvey Fire Department with a Structure Fire. Dolton Engine 16 and Chief 1500 responded and assisted with Interior Fireground operations which includes Fire suppression and Search & Rescue tactical objectives. Due to the magnitude of the incident, the fire scene was upgraded to a MABAS Box Alarm 2-11 to assist with manpower, water supply, and station coverage. In addition to the initial Dolton Fire response, the other assisting agencies include but not limited to Buds Ambulance, Calumet City, East Hazel Crest, Hazel Crest, Homewood, Markham, Oak Forest, Phoenix, Posen, Riverdale, South Holland, and Thornton. There were several injuries reported during this incident in stable condition. The fire took several hours to mitigate.
