man hard to say from memory. Section 3 is 193 miles total and I know we spent the entire day on it without quite getting to the end. If I had to guess I'd say 50-70 miles.

The servo-ectomy transformed my Rockster. Braking was much improved with great feel. If abs is not required, I highly recommend.

Paid big dollars once for a B&B when we couldn't find a hotel (while riding with a fellow GoldWinger), so that's a great idea with trying to find another biker at a campground....will remember that one for my future adventure riding days. Seems like A LOT of asphalt on these two sections, but hopefully you found some more gravel in the upcoming sections!

what map (gpx) did you use to navigate -- at times it looks like you had turn by turn I am starting next tuesday and have Butler maps and a GPS Kevin card in my BMW Nav IV ---

No turn by turn, I just copied the tracks from the BDR site onto my Zumo 396 and followed the tracks.
