That's a beautiful driving video. The valley in the mountains is beautiful, too. It's a fantastic course to explore. I like the single course in the woods the most. Have a happy day. 👍👍👍🤙🤙🤙👌

Excellent ride! I enjoyed tagging along. Nice touch with the horses. They will remember that courtesy, always good to have folks have good thoughts of motorcyclists, really helps with relations, we are riding through their communities.

A great 40 minutes of escapism! Looking forward to more. That spot At 12:06 looks like a "cut" done with black powder in the mid 1800s not to far from me.

Thank you for the sub Reuben! Your video series was one of the inspirations for me to do this route as a thru ride! As well as record my journey journey and create my own KZbin series! Thank You!!!

Stumbled across your channel and glad I did. I like the long videos, I watch them on my 70 inch TV. I don’t watch regular TV anymore. I thought it was cool that you met Trevor at the same QT my ride group meets at to our Mt rides. I live about 20 mins from there. Looking forward to the other videos in this series. Thanks for sharing, looking forward to more. Be Healthy Be Safe.

Thanks for pointing out your Trailmax Missions. I have a fresh set on my 1250GS and have been wondering how they would be offroad. Guess I'll have to give it a try.

I ran the entire Blue ridge parkway on a FJ 1100 years ago. Nothing quite as enjoyable on a bike as that ride. I plan on doing it again on my ZRX 1200 soon. Be safe! Have fun! I bought my ZRX after watching your videos!

The section where you were going between the rocks is known as a cut. You were on an old railroad bed. Thanks for posting these videos. 👍

You started off in my area. If you ever come back in the winter months you can ride the Virginia horse trail. Part of it starts right in Damascus. Follows near the Appalachian Trail

I love longer vids as well. Netflix replacement.
@ElementofKindness2 жыл бұрын
My '07 GS's low fuel warning happens at exactly two gallons in the tank, and when stating I've got zero miles fuel left, has one gallon still in the tank, which is what the specs say is the correct reserve amount, so quite accurate.

Man how do you get the route? I have a old gps that may be too dated. I live in Salisbury area so I’m not far from you.
@NitroRoo Жыл бұрын
You can download the tracks from the BDR website. It's a TRACK, not a ROUTE - so you essentially just get a line to follow on your GPS - it will not give you turn by turn directions. If your GPS is older, the track files are likely to be too long or have too many points. I tried to load it on an older eTrex I have as backup and it wouldn't take it. I use a Garmin Zumo 396. Good luck!

What's the story on your 1150GS? Have been thinking about buying a new GS but I'm curious what your thoughts are on your GS. Would love to know how long you've had it and what you've needed to do with it so far?
@eljeef572 жыл бұрын
I have a 2002 standard 1150GS. I've had to replace the internal fuel lines and filter, the external fuel line connectors and the hall sensor. Love my GS. 100,008 kms (65,000 miles) and still going strong.

All I hear in Charlotte are sirens, horns and gunshots not related to hunting. You mock Appalachian people, then admire the beauty.. Our poverty cant be hidden away from sight, especially when you are driving past rural homesteads, many shared for generations.
@NitroRoo9 ай бұрын
I certainly hope you didn't take any of my commentary as mocking...

@@NitroRoo slightly offended by the "I hear banjo's" momentarily across the screen, but otherwise I enjoyed the series. You seem like a nice enough fellow, I'm sure it was meant as a joke, but there are some poor, ignorant, filthy people everywhere if one looks hard enough. We are lucky to get to ride past their grief in pleasure. That being said, ride on, stay safe keep making content. Cheers,ed
