Good overview of the whole trip. it does get tiring and makes for longer days stopping to get the pictures. That is definitely something i'm going to have to work on in 2024.

Roger makes a good point. The amount of times, I thought "I need to stop and take some footage" and not end up doing it because of time constraints is crazy. And every time, I say "Next trip, I will stop and smell the roses..."... Never happens 🙂 Maybe next time...

Maybe next time… seems to be an affliction we ADV riders experience worldwide! For me it’s not so much the time as it the riding. I just like to keep going, stopping takes away from the ride! I know I’m going to regret that as soon as the day is over, and I’ll regret it even more years from now, but I just keep on riding….. Merry Christmas Petros!! Thanks for checking it out, Patrick

My most memorable bear events were when I was on foot hiking in the mountains and had them within a matter of feet. That's always enough to let you know your heart still works. Yeah, I can relate to the not taking videos or pictures. I always tell myself to shoot video or stop and take pictures, but then realize I another X miles to ride that day and don't have time to stop. I'm glad you guys had a great time.

My bear encounters that were close, were while delivering mail, some were close enough to touch, which I did not do!😂🤣😂 Yea, taking pictures would be great, but I enjoy the riding too much!😂🤣😂

I live in Va and have yet to see natural bridge. But I have rode the skyline a couple times.

Fun recap of your adventure. Thanks! The only good gas station food that I have ever had was at the Harris Ranch gas station on Interstate 5 in Coalinga, California. Are things different out east?

I’m not a fan of gas station food anywhere, and I don’t usually eat when traveling. I’ve see some places that don’t look too bad out here, like a Sheetz, but unfortunately I’m not qualified to answer your question. Merry Christmas Rob!!

I had a black bear do that too me once... Popped out of a trail onto a dirt road, a bear crossed maybe 50yrds ahead right to left. As I got to the cross point, I looked to my left and that guy was pacing the bike, just inside the tree line. It ran along with me for about another 50yrds until it took a hard left and cut into woods. I was shocked but none of the crew that was behind me saw what was going on.. 😐

I love seeing the bears, but when they run beside me, it gets my hackles up! You can never tell what they’ll do next! It seems like I run the cameras too much, but I almost always miss the wildlife😂😂. Merry Christmas Mike!!

Wait till you go to Alaska. You will see some huge bears. 😂. Deep gravel is challenging, sometimes worse than sand. Let me know when you are planning it again would love to tag along.
