Been listening to Mac D for awhile. You have no choice but to bump & rock to these beats. Bangers!

How do u process your drum?
@mac_dusty3 жыл бұрын
Any specific track youre thinking about? But yeah theyre sampled from vinyl on highest rpm(45+8%) then pitched back down to desired speed. I then usually added 5-10 on the resonance with the MPC filter completely open to get some crisp. After that compression and tape dist.
@stefanodash45283 жыл бұрын
@@mac_dusty thank you man! I do. T really get the 5-10 of resonance, probably beacause I don t have on my MPC1000. I usuali use low-pass and high-pass filter for my drums. But Thank you and amazing job 👊🏻

nice beat!!! im about to buy a ensoniq dp 4 got any tips on how to use it? im thinking connecting it to my dj mixer`s effect in will it work?
@mac_dusty7 жыл бұрын
Oh i missed this comment, so sorry for the late response. I use it with 4 different inputs from the MPC and i tihnk its a cool lil box. Hmm i dont think it will work like that, you have to plug a signal into it that it can apply the FX to, so just plugin an silent output that isnt getting any signal doesnt seem wise. But if you mean sending MPC > DP4 > mixer then yeah thats how i do it.

You are the reason I put the cover on my MPC 4000 to cop the 3k....Your Pete Rockish sound with your twist on it is so refreshing....I LOVE IT!!! Keep up the good work!! PLEASE if we can get production of yours to be on songs on the radio, music would be so much better to listen to on the airwaves....

+AmbushofHelium Thank you for the kind words, glad i can ispire and i wish i could be on the radio aswell, haha! and yea the 3k is the bomb!

Peace man..I have joined the MPC 3k club. Just copped one over the weekend! Now more masterpieces begin!!! MIUHAHAHAH

+Mac Dusty why does everyone think the mpc3000 will automatically turn your beats into dilla? You could do more with the 4K than you can with the 3k.. Learn one machine and stick with it, man.
@AmbushofHelium8 жыл бұрын
+Mr America Peace to you....The MPC3k has a TOTALLY different SWING. Not really comparing to Dilla but he made it more pronounced and the SWING capabilities. I have a 4k. It is GREAT but it does not have the Roger Linn SWING. I have all the MPCs except Renn, MPC studio, MPC500. The 4k I use during shows and stuff along with my 1000. But the 3k I can get a groove like no other. TRUST....Mac Dusty is doing things I have to learn on the 3k... Mr. America, which do you have and use? Can you share some of your tracks? l8er

+AmbushofHelium do you know what swing is, man? Its the percentage between 2 beats... Say you have a kick on the first beat, and a snare on the second.. 50% swing is literally 0 swing at all.. 60% swing would put the hi hat (on 1/8 notes) 10% closer to the snare.. 40% would be the opposite.. The swing is not different on that machine. What you're referring to is a lower grid resolution (if anything).. You're totally capable of achieving everything and more on a standard 2000xl or whatever..
