Mac Finder Sidebar Missing (2021 Updated Version)

If your Mac Finder Sidebar is Missing this video will explain 2 quick fixes. I'll also show you how to better organize this sidebar as well.
Tip #1 If your Entire Sidebar is Missing
1. Open up your Finder
2. Go to View (in the menu above)
3. Click "Show Sidebar"
4. If only "Hide Sidebar" is showing proceed to the next tip below
Tip #2 If Some Items Are Missing in Your Sidebar
1. Hover your mouse over a title in the sidebar
2. Look to see if "Show" pops up and click it

It's not really about being tech savvy - it's about Apple not being the company it once was and thinking making all sorts of regular, mundane, functions be hidden as if they are only for some select group of insiders. People shouldn't have to waste a half hour trying to find solutions to answers that can be made more intuitive rather than esoteric.

How do you force folders to open with their slide/side bar always to the very top? Some of mine folders have many items and I noticed that the folders open with the slide/side bar mid way ie half way scrolled down. How do I stop/turn off macbook os high sierra from "remembering" or "deciding" itself what position/scroll down the folder will open with? Thanks
