I feel a return to powder coming on. I have to work so hard with creams sometimes, and they don't really last! They look lovely in the beginning but halfway through the day they are gone. 100% agree. The Bare Minerals blonzers are powders and they totally blew me away. While I love playing with cream products, I frankly just find that powders and cream/powder formulas are more flattering on my skin. They’re just so fast to apply too!

Before the pandemic, I was a MAC girl in my local Ulta, and I had grown up on the gospel of MAC products because my mother is a huge makeup collector. I knew I always wanted to work at a MAC counter, and when I got my shot, I was worried that I wouldn't love all the makeup because it wasn't as new a brand as some others in the store (out of date formulas, etc.). But, in the process of getting to know the products for my interview for the position, along with selling them, I realized pretty much all of the formulas either were ahead of their time when they came out or continue to be innovative to this day. And I was working there when the glow play blushes came out and I was SO EXCITED for a "cream blush" formula that when they launched I was a bit let down. Then I tried them and I was blown away by the pigmentation but also the ability to sheer them out! They launched this holiday collection in Winter 2019 and they had these potted loose eyeshadows that were "magnetized". It was loose pigment and glitter that stuck to itself to create the most dimensional effect on the eyes- it was magic. To this day, that formula blows me out of the park and completely competes with some of my Pat Mcgrath toppers and shadows. I wish they let their creativity and innovation shine more publicly because I think they are high underrated due to their age. Just because it's not new doesn't mean its not flashy and innovative!

Preach!! MAC has proven herself to me time and again… I’m now going into a forth decade using their products(!!). And no matter how many times I experiment with other brands’ tinted moisturizers or light/medium foundations, my fave remains MAC’s Face & Body (though I’ve yet to try their recent reformulation). But I need to thank you, Kait, for introducing me to their Glow Play blushes!! I too am a Face and Body fan. I tried the new formula and the consistency is the same but it's a little dewy, hydrated looking. I just go in lightly with a translucent powder in some areas and it looks great. There are more shades now so make sure to rematch yourself!

They're fuss free and perfect for people who aren't sold on cream formulas and like the ease of a powder. I only have one shade that I picked up here in Denmark (not sure if it's international, I haven't seen it back home in California), but it's the color Grand (a peachy-pink-mauve - a very weird, special shade). Great video! MAC is the best! I have been using MAC since 2001 , and to this day, it's the only makeup brand that I use! Trust me, my walk in closet speaks for itself with all of my MAC stuff lol. This was the video that made me a couple of months ago to buy a Glow Play Blush. I fell in love! Now I own 4 shades and if I had more money, I would own every shade. 😄 I bought Rosy does it a week ago and even at MAC I was told many people are scared of it. When I applied it for the first time, my boyfriend asked if I was hot. He thought it wasn't make up! That's the biggest compliment ever. 😁 Btw the shades I own are So natural, Groovy, Rosy does it and Flowerescent (limited edition). So natural is my favorite. I'm very pale and so natural looks gorgeous on my face. It became an instant favorite. I'm definitely going to repurchase it!

I love MAC! I have some of their OG eyeshadows that have performed above all other eyeshadows I’ve ever tried year after year after year. Every time I buy a non-Mac eyeshadow, I ask myself “why??” Because inevitably, other eyeshadows just don’t work as well as MAC on my eyes. I also love that they sell single shadows and in refill pots, as I have my favorites and don’t need pallets anymore. And I need to try these luster lipsticks!

the sheer-shine formula reminds me a lot of the revlon super lustrous glass shine formula and i think you would love the shade glossed up rose

I tried that! They’re different formulas but the same concept. I didn’t like the revlon ones because they were SO THIN and slippery. They slid right out of my lip mines and got super messy. I also didn’t like the shape and size of the bullet. The Lustreglass formula from Mac is definitely a lipstick/balm/oil hybrid BUT in a classic lipstick bullet for more control and it has more grip to it than Revlon

@@StateofKait my current favorites are Glow Play Blush in So Natural- I’ve heard it’s reminiscent of the old version of Warm Soul, it’s just gorgeous. The paint pot in Bougie buffs out to a gorgeous terracotta coppery brown with a sight duchrome reflect that I love. It’s buildable for more dramatic looks but I love it as a one and done easy shadow. The studio fix powder foundation in NW20 is fantastic for setting under eyes bc there’s a slight pink undertone- using it with a fluffy brush in a small amount it perfect (picked up that tip from Patrick Ta). Also really into the lip liners lately and I just ordered spice. edit: and you just sold me on the extra dimension eyeshadows lol

Honestly I haven’t tried the cream sheen formula in SO many years but I can confidently say that the new Lustreglass formula is thinner and more lightweight. It’s feels like a cross between a lipstick, an oil, and a balm, whereas cream sheen felt like a creamy lipstick. This just feels more updated and a bit shinier too
