Mac King was my first Vegas show 20 years ago at Harrah's. It was like $12 for a fancy cocktail and the show was free. Or vice versa. Great show! I still remember the goldfish and the cloak of invisibility.

Mac King's show is fantastic. Every time I visit Vegas, I watch him perform. This means that I have seen his show many times-- and I am always eager to see it again. What makes it so good? One key factor is that he has spent a lifetime polishing his act. Every moment is a gem. Another reason it is so good is that King has mastered two different art forms: comedy and magic. That combination is especially tough. For various reasons, they sometimes conflict. As a result, one of the two arts will suffer. Usually, that means a performer's comedy is funny, but their magic is weak. This is NOT the case with King's show. Somehow he strikes that very difficult balance of being both funny and amazing at the same time. His ability to do both may be the greatest trick in his show. After all these years, I still don't know how he does that. In short, a great act. Check it out!
