Awesome video. Love the range of colours you have tried on. I need some help. I have a couple of these Mac pencils. I'm planning on buying the Nightingale lip pencil for Flat Out Fabulous to give it a different twist (not keen on Magenta lip pencil). But I have Beet already. Are the two similar? Please help me decide 😀😀

So sorry for the late reply but I’ve been really busy with work the last 2-3 weeks. Flat out fabulous seems to be a cool toned pink lipstick. Beet is a warm toned pink berry lip liner while nightingale is a more cool toned lip liner. So, they are going to look different. I would recommend getting Nightingale or Heroine lip liner for that lipstick.

Which one will go with russian red? Cherry or brick? Also, can i use beet with russian red? TIA..i am nc 42...actually debating between beet n brick...can get only 1 at this moment :(

Hi Hafsa, so sorry for replying so late but I was caught up with my freelance work. I would recommend brick with Russian Red lipstick. Beet would look odd with russian red since they have quite different undertones.

Thank you sharing, this has really helped me! I have a couple of questions if you don't mind: I have the 'Absolutely It' liner and today I was told to get 'Helf-Red', but I find that these two are the exact same shade? Others have recommended 'Soar' (I mostly wear the 'Creme in your coffee' lipstick). Do you have any thoughts or opinions about which one to go for between Half-Redd and Soar? P.S. I am now in love with the 'Beet' liner as well so may get that as well.

Sure, no problem.. I'm glad I can help.. You are right, Absolutely it and Half-red are very similar in shade.. Half-red may be marginally darker and more brown but they are not different enough that you need both shades.. I would recommend getting Soar since its very different from the other two.. But it's lighter and more warm pink than Creme in your coffee lipstick (in case you were thinking of pairing it with that).. Beet is one of my top favs too! Its such a gorgeous shade on its own... :-)

oooh! Sorry to hear that.. MAC lip liners in general are not the most smooth to apply.. But I feel thats another reason they also last a bit longer on the lips perhaps?
