In my 20's and early 30's, I used to have long, thick, wavy blonde hair. It was sort of a trademark for me. Then I had a period of extreme stress that lasted a few years, and was bad enough that almost all my hair fell out. It did start to grow back, but was thin and limp in comparison and I couldn't grow it past shoulder length. Doubly frustrating, as I need the weight from the length to make the waves look good. I'd resigned myself to the possibility it was an age thing, and that was that. No more beautiful hair for me... EVER! After finding your channel a few months ago, and following your advice, I now have a 5 step routine, twice a week (that only takes about 15 mins), using products you recommend , and making sure to wash my hair as directed by you (I thought I knew how, I was wrong! 😂) At 44, my hair is now back to its former glory. Glossy and thick and bouncy, and getting back to a good length. It's made a huge difference in helping rebuild my self-esteem, and also in not wasting money on gimmicks that do not work. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!💗💖💝

Would love to see a video on 55+ hair care. I truly appreciate your videos and have tried your suggestions on lightening up the products. I have always used professional products on my thick slightly textured hair - ever since college. Now that my hair is partially gray and color treated (gray blended) my texture is more course. Very difficult to close down the cuticle and get it smooth. I've used Babyless hair dryers for years with excellent round brushes to create nice tension to smooth it out. I have found that I must use a heavier leave in cream for blow drying to keep that cuticle smoothed down. Without it, my texture reverts back to a wooly mess within hours. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you for supplying us with your professional guidance.

As someone with hair down to my thighs (it hasn't always been that way) I can't say I agree with everything here. I really like that you're drawing attention to 'hair growth' products that don't actually speed up hair growth, but I think serums and oils can definetly help with hair growth through protection. I'd love to see actual scientific studies for some of the claims you make (e.g. you should never use conditioner and a hair mask together) because I find non-biased studies about hair care are hard to come by :) thank you

But then I started to use a rosemary scalp oil and made my own oil for my ends with rosemary, hibiscus, argan oil, and a few other hair serums thrown in and I went from needing a shower every 1-2 days due to oil buildup to lasting up to 5-6 days before the oil starts to show and the occasional knot that is easy to brush out! I have NEVER lasted that long in my entire life! I thought I naturally had an oily scalp and there was nothing I can do about it! I stand by my oils and serums!

He appears to be speaking to people with a specific texture of hair, specifically straight or "type A hair". Most natural products work fine on coily or kinky textured hair. The problem seems to be that many individuals tend to use way too much product or cocktail too many products at one time. When a product advises using a dime size, use a dime size and then gradually use a bit more if that is not sufficient for your hair thickness.

@natalirivero46718 күн бұрын
@@IamBarati I like them, I also didn't like how my hair looked when I used the serum as my only conditioner. Then I realized it was more like a deep treatment for repairing the hair from the inside out, and you still need to follow by a regular conditioner or mask. Even in the official LOreal videos they do that. In my case I use a layered technique (as recommended by my hair stylist), I use the serum, then the mask on top of it, and wait 5 min before rinsing. Then I use the leave in mask too. But the leave-in doesn't replace the regular hair mask or conditioner. I went to a different salon the other day for a blowout and the hair styler said by hair was healthy, shiny and hydrated and simply beautiful.

@angelic411213 күн бұрын
You can create pretty good waves with just the round brush if you start twisting slightly damp hair around it. I did it in the past and took pictures where it looked like I had curled it professionally, because I had "trained" my hair that much. Some traumatic things happened along the way and I stopped doing it for years. Will be doing it again to avoid burning it with curling irons. Best wishes on trying it 🙂
