I love the Lustre finish for its moisturizing capabilities. Plumful, Lustering and Capricious are all in my collection. Syrup is a great MLBB color. I might pick it up next shopping trip.

I love the Lustre finish for summer. I wear lipstick almost every single day (I need to get my money's worth lol) but when it gets hot outside, I always feel like the satins and mattes melt off my face and I feel much safer with the lustre finish. I also love how easy they are, I can touch them up without a mirror, which is very handy on the go! And lastly, I sometimes like a little bit of shimmer in my life but I really don't like lipgloss, so these are a nice alternative. My all time favorite shade for these occasions is Where no man has gone before from the Star Trek collection, but I also really like Viva Glam V. Since you already have See Sheer, I'm voting for Plumful as your new addition, which I think you'd enjoy. It has no shimmer particles! 😊

See Sheer is one of my favourite Mac Lipsticks! Although I'm not a huge fan of the finish (they are very comfortable but I prefer matte finish), I love, LOVE the colour. Xx

I like lustre finishes when I am wearing very little makeup. I look at them as a step up from a lip balm. Real Redhead was le color that I love. Plumful and See Sheer are ones that I also adore.

I really adore the viva glam v lipstick. It adds a beautiful tint of colour. (It does have a bit of sprinkles, but not at much as the other lipsticks in the finished that contain sprinkle. Or at least from what I found.)

I love lustre finish!!! Of course, I'm one of those that doesn't really enjoy the feeling of most matte lipsticks. Hug Me is my favorite, but I think Patisserie is another really good one. Capricious is kinda similar to Syrup, but more red than mauve. It's also great for fall. And if you like brownish pink nudes, Jubilee is so pretty :)

Always know the start of this introduction of this video 😊lustre finish can be like a gloss so some of them do need to apply a few times to see the colour on your lips. Like midi mauve and hug me for example. Yes not recommend to keep your handbag can melt easily.

I do repeat that intro a lot haha These are probably my most disliked videos, I'm assuming people think they're lip swatches but still :S I think there are a lot of pretty colors and I would probably like them more if my lips were more even naturally!

I'm pretty fair with darker brown hair and pigmented lips and my current Lustre finishes are Jubilee (beige pink), Spice it up (warm plummy brown berry) Viva Glam VI (slightly warm plum with pearl). I was gifted Midimauve and I am too warm toned to wear it.

Em, I love lustre finish from mac! I usually use lustre lipsticks when I go out to some place and I know that I won't eat anything. I live in a really hot country and never had melting problems ;) Love the collors you have, I need them now!!

I actually have the same opinion as u about the Lustre finish...I only own 2 because they do not last long...I have Syrup and Lovelorn...I am going to repurchase Lovelorn because in winter it keeps my lips moisturised, but unfortunately I am avoiding as much as possible Lustres.

Kinda wish you would have worn the Last Shade (gorgeous btw), although syrup is a gorgeous color Its practically the color of your lips and Its harder to tell if its there on the updates. Love these vídeos btw, you were the reason I Started wearing mac lipsticks (and purchased coral bliss - now my favorite summer color!)

Hey Emily, I used to not like the lustre finsih as well, just not enough pigment in my opinion. Then just recently I got the Viva Glam VI, which was just added, and I love it! Way more pigment and staying power, at least thats what I think. Maybe you can try it out too. Looking forward to your lip swatch video. They are always so great!

Yes check that one out! I think you would like it. I wear it year round, and it's really beautiful for autumn :) I also have Syrup, but you can hardly see that one on my lips. They're too pigmented..

See Sheer is the only Lustre which I like. I don't like lipsticks which quickly disappear from the lips. I guess Lustre is best if you don't eat and drink. But even then, it doesn't last more than 1-2 hours.

A definite cure for melting lipsticks would be to move to the Arctic. Here on Svalbards I never experience my lipstick - or anything in general - melting. And on my pale complexion Syrup is actually the darkest berry shade I own. I consider it my deep "vampy" lipstick that I only use in festive occasions.

@@carolinaherrera4598 You're "American pale" right? Ive seen so many Americans think they were pale. And think that their chestnut hair was "blond". I will never understand how people with deep golden or even light brown hair, insist on calling it blond. Is just like when Asian people think they make pale makeup products and foundations because their are fair. Those products are not pale and those people are tan with yellow undertones. Im guessing since a berry lipstick is hardly visible on you, you have face features - like pigment in your eyebrows, lashes and lips. My eyebrows and lashes are white. MY hair as well has no pigment. No Im not albino, Im just a type 1 skin type of Scandinavian caucasian genotype.

When you do the wear test I suggest you to use a shade different than your lip colour so that it is easier to see if it has lasted well or not.

I own See Sheer. It was my second ever MAC lipstick (first was the matte Mehr 😍). It's more like a shiny coral stain on my non pigmented lips and on the fairer end of an Indian skin tone.

It makes noooo sense you kissed your hand, twice!!!! It is a lustre finish, obviously it will transfer. At least apply it again after you kissed your hand. You took almost all the lipstick off AND THEN started the review.....

I always do it as a transfer test to show how much lipstick transfers. It's no different than drinking from a glass.

Lightly kissing my hand doesn't affect anything. It's no different than kissing my bf or as mentioned earlier drinking from a glass of water. Something I do 10 times an hour. It would not have lasted any longer. If I applied a lipstick and didn't drink/eat/talk/existed for "x" amount of hours the lipstick would lasted longer but it wouldn't be realistic which is what I'm going for with a wear test.

BeautywithEmilyFox you really don't understand what I'm talking about? What I mean is when you START your wear test you should start with a freshly applied lipstick. And then go on with your regular day and update. But right after you applied the lipstick you kissed your hand and most of the lipstick worn off because it is very creamy and moisturizing. Kissing the hand is not necessary with such a creamy lipstick... I don't think you should not talk or eat or drink or whatever because it is things we all do everyday, but you should start the wear test with a freshly applied layer of lipstick, it will obviously last a little longer that way...
