Nobody ever talks about the shade Captive! I love it so much. It is a satin finish and is a sort of purple but not a bright purple. More like a deep purple. Really recommend ♡

I actually liked that bright red one on you. When you smiled, your face just lit up. That second purple one was quite nice too. The pinky nudey ones were flattering as well, but not so much the paler ones that matched your warm complexion.....just my two cents ;)

That has me wondering if MAC will ever come out with liquid lipsticks. I think they would since they are so on trend right now. I know I would love them as well however my lips are extremely dry and no matter how much I exfoliate or moisturize, it only amplifies the dryness. I would love any recommendations though for any liquid lipsticks that don't feel like pure cement. Lol. :)

velvet teddy is like a whirl version for lighter skin people. I have medium olive skin (nc35-nc40) and whirl is my favorite, but on any of my fair friends it's just too dark. my mum used to wear whirl a lot, but since I bought her velvet teddy she doesn't go near whirl (my mum is nc25)

Funny how all the shades she didn't find flattering for herself are the ones I want sooo bad.. I think those colors like verve & whirl are more complimentary to deeper skin tones, and the colors shy girl and creme cup are more flattering on lighter skin tones. I actually love purple lips & when I wear them I get so many compliments but I buy purple lips that are more of a true purple or like dark plum purples .. I'm not a fan of purple with the pink undertones .. I think when you find the perfect purple you would change your mind ! 😊

***** lol considering 97 was nearly 20 years ago, the very small increase in price is surprising. Mac prices are reasonable. People living in States don't realise how good they have it. High end lipsticks for 21-34 bucks each? If it was in NZ even with the conversion over, its at least 15-20 dollars more.

I really do like 'up the amp' on Tati. I have it myself and don't find it a weird color to wear. I think its pretty with purple type colored clothing. I like it.

TATI!! Omg girl you NEED viva glam V and II! They are my favorite of all time. V I think is flattering on everyone and 11 is a great satin nude that looks great on fair skin, it's like velvet teddy (which I also LOVE) but just a little lighter. I love you, and you're totally gorgeous ❤️❤️❤️
