My regrets look just like text I shouldn't send And I got neighbors, they're more like strangers We could be friends I just need a way out of my head I'll do anything for a way out Of my head In my own way, this feel like living Some alternate reality And I was just drowning, but now I'm swimming Through stressful waters to relief Yeah, all the things I'd do To spend a little time in hell And what I won't tell you I'll prolly never even tell myself And don't you know that sunshine don't feel right When you inside all day I wish it was nice out, but it looked like rain Grey skies and I'm drifting, not living forever They told me it only gets better My regrets look just like text I shouldn't send And I got neighbor's, they more like strangers We could be friends I just need a way out of my head I'll do anything for a way out Of my head

I've been searching for covers of this song and I'm completely blown away by this. Can I have your permission to use this audio for a friend's wedding video I'm creating? She's a huge Mac Miller fan and I think this would be so touching. I would be more than happy to attribute you in any credits/captions, though I have no KZbin followers at all. Seriously, amazing job.

Hi! Love the video! Is there a place where I cpuld get the piano sheet to learn it? Thank you
@rady72734 жыл бұрын
How'd you learn to play after chords like this? I want to do it I just don't know exactly where to start. I've been playing for 10 years but always just playing songs from paper and just learning them. I'm really fast at that now (not reading notes though) and I have a really good ear and rhythmic feeling but I don't know how I can combine that with music theory (that I know almost nothing about) the best way
@jaredcox71145 жыл бұрын
Where did you learn piano? And where do you think someone should start when trying to learn?
@dorian80855 жыл бұрын
I studied jazz at a conservatory just outside of NYC! That's a super great question that I hear a lot. It really depends on what you want to play, ultimately. Beyond simply learning how to play the instrument from a mechanical standpoint (exercises, scales, etc.), the most important thing about learning is that you keep yourself interested! A classical background can be extremely helpful in learning the mechanics of playing the instrument, but if you don't think that studying classical music would keep your interest enough to stick with it, then don't do it! We're learning to play the piano because it's fun. Do whatever makes you want to play.

Do you think we could get a visual hand tutorial for this? Thank you! This is my favorite Mac piano cover

Thanks so much! I'm waiting on picking up my new piano at the moment after moving across the country. At that point, my focus will be just to start uploading more regularly. I would love to get around to doing this at some point, but I don't want to make any promises yet! Stay tuned.

@quentindupouey71263 жыл бұрын
Hi Dorian, fiest of all thank you soo much for this beautiful piece of music.. Magical. Second I really want to get my head around harmony. Jazz is not really my thing so usually I get bored a bit when working on the material suggested to improve my play, also because I am really passion driven. So usually I pick a song that I love and I try to dig my ass off i' order to extract knowledge. And this song is a big nugget for me. Could you please let me know every (any?) theorical wisdom you manage to identify in this piece? Like tonality, mode, why you think chord and not another one, why this musical choice seem Soo fresh, etc. If you have any theory material to advise me on the net, free or not too expensive (like big money lessons or such), I am all ears :). Thank you again for the great work, and cannot wait for your next cover. take care Dorian :)
