Yeah, you measure e.g 75W from software but the PSU has it’s own loss (based on load efficiency varies) so measuring from the wall will always be higher.

I get 55-58W at idle on my 8 core MP with dual D700's.And I get 96-130 Watts watching KZbin at 1080p-1440p with a few apps in the background.

It depends on a variety of factors… such as your electricity rate… how long you use the machine every day… and what apps you run.

In my case video editing used the most energy… I estimated approx. 300kWh per year… probably some more… electricity rates in Germany are projected to rise to 0,50 cents per kWh.

@@tertius3751 Das stimmt so nicht ganz. Aktuell liegt der durchschnittliche Strompreis in Deutschland bei etwa 40 Cent pro kWh, und das kann je nach Anbieter und Tarif variieren. Zwei-Jahres-Verträge mit einem Preis von 27 Cent pro kWh sind eher selten und oft an spezielle Bedingungen oder begrenzte Kontingente gebunden. Außerdem haben sich die Preise in den letzten Jahren deutlich erhöht, was diese Annahme noch unrealistischer macht.
