In this video, I demonstrate how to make 1/6th scale Radio or any equipment curly cord, the kind used in old style rotary telephones.

Very Cool Sir!! I used to do that with small gauge wire for my 1/35th scale models, for the mic's and hand sets. It was a challenge to get them painted back then since I did not own a air brush..lol This is very cool, down right Awesome!! Thank you for sharing this Robert!! Now to the store.........LOL

Im having trouble locating the solid cord. Any help for sources would ne greatly appreciated. Thanks for the tutorial!

Looks like I was right to assume that the vinyl cord i used is no longer made. I have seen it in craft stores tho under different brands so you'll just have to check other places that might carry it. You can experiment with similar materials as well.

Did you make the loops in the Jiig..by wrapping the wire around a drill Bir same diameter as the Cording
@MacSOGAdventureInternational6 ай бұрын
Just did the loop with my hand and a needle nose plier. But it can be also done by wrapping it around a small nail of drill bit

What Brand of paint and Brushes you use To oaint b the Extraterrestrial
@MacSOGAdventureInternational6 ай бұрын
I use all sizes of brushes from a number 3 to a zero, no special brand. I don't go super cheap on it though so I use a decent quality synthetic sable brush
