The fact that the M1 is an entire system on a chip, and is waaaay less power hungry than an PC system using a dedicated cpu and gpu, this is amazing!

Very impressive for the M1 Max! I don't even edit videos but I'm a fan of computer tech. Competition is good.

Yes, the Apple Silicon is impressive, still seems to be a great video production focused chipset. Thanks for watching!

Holy cow.. i thought I was doing something wrong because it's takes to long to do any of the video processes with Topaz on both my M3 macbook air and my i9 990k/4090... but dang just those 10 second clips took a long time in your testing.

Thank you! I'm wondering what to buy for Topaz Video Enhance AI. Surprised to see the M1 Max to be faster. You think the ultra would be faster?

What config specs did you use? In Topaz I was using. all the memory and had crashes now reducing 15 % no more crashes but in peocessor got it in 4 I do not know if 4 is ok

I wonder why the mac didnt do well in interpolation. Why did the 3080 perform better?
@jaydeepbrar Жыл бұрын
Late to this comment but Interpolation is very GPU dependant as its creating frames. The M1 & M2 chips just don't have the GPU horsepower.

Yeah it has to use 3D pipelines to draw/create frames and that's right about where the M2 gets smoked. Just doesn't have that amount of horsepower. However with the way and rate they are improving Apple may just create a smoking hot powerful M3 CPU.

I have a Macbook Air M1 and it runs circles around my Radeon RX 6900 and its the base model. Kind of sad honestly but AMD pretty much blows at anything besides gaming. You otta test that new RT accelerated NVEC encoder with the 4000 series cards.
