Mac Tools Hose Clamp Vise Set Review

These are a nice set of spring hose clamp vises a bit spendy but they are well made and are versatile. I believe the steel may be sintered not forged like mistakenly said in this video. I also compare to the NAPA/Lisle Vises as well.

Nice find! I never knew Lisle made those either! Been on the fence on getting one from KTC Japan, it has the square teeth style jaw. Looks a lot more bulkier than those, but all three would be a good arsenal to have against those pesky Spring clamps! Haha!

Do you have any experience with Martin tools? A worker of mine has a very high quality Martin spud crescent wrench that stood up to a four foot cheater bar breaking 500 ft/lbs loose.

A lot of time there won't be space for these vises. In tight spaces, my experience is that a pair of very small (4'') vise grip pliers is the best. You use it along the direction of the hose. So it requires little extra space.

I got those Lisle ones from Napa but they were branded under Napa professional 900 series

Cool tool-but I inevitably always seem to run into horrible access problems just dealing with hose clamp pliers, etc. and even dedicated tools for such- with me Murphys Law always wins!
