Mac Daddy Michael is back this week we get to see the full set of knuckle saver wrenches that are USA made (top of the line Mac wrenches) and we take a look at some super cool torx universal sockets (5 point) and a straight die grinder. We also look at a few other products (one of them I will have to see in action to appreciate, since I have tried another version of this tool and it FAILED to work as advertised). Take a look at this video and check out what we talked about today on the Mac truck. Be sure to watch the video linked in the card as well at the end of the video.
Thanks for watching ! I truly appreciate each and every view we get on our videos. Your support and comments are truly amazing. You guys that are subscribed, are awesome, thanks for giving us your time to watch the videos.

The MAC sidewinders are the real deal! I have all three , and they are impact grade. There is quite a bit torque loss (don’t know what the percent of loss), but it does work! The 1/4” is my favorite for under dash and blend door actuators.

It’s good as long as you don’t need an impact on it. If you watch the video you can see how much torque loss is in it. (The one in the card and at the end of the video)

Whenever I use the sidewinder it seems to be for frame bolts on tractors. M18 10.9 grade so I dont even bother to break them with it. However after they are broke with the breaker bar, the sidewinder with the impact saves a TON of time!

I have 1, just one, knuckle saver wrench, and I must say it’s pretty damn nice looking. Probably the best looking wrench I have. I hope to ad more as the budget permits, but I already have two sets of metric combination wrenches. Do I need a third???? My SAE set is a hodgepodge of SK, Craftsman. Not sure if I want to invest in new SAE stuff. But I’m a total sucker for the Mac Knuckle savers and the Snappys. Champagne taste on a 🍺 budget.

I was thinking the same thing. I didnt seem to thrilled that clay didnt believe the sidewinder is impact rated and kept saying torque loss lol. But hey when you have a bad experience with something it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. You're not going to trust something thats made the same way. Like he said if there wasnt a chain and it was all gears hed be more inclined to believe it would hold up being used with impact.

Don't mean to tear Mac down, but the dealer told me their Sidewinders only carry a one year warranty on the chain inside. Snap-on makes a heavier 3/8 version that carries a lifetime warranty. I mostly use it with my MG325 to remove fuel tanks on International trucks. No issues yet.

That creeper he was strapping up I think is the same one I had my dealer order for me. It's a creeper, an extremely low profile seat, and a roller stool in one setup. Clay I believe these big Tool Companies would rather sell their stuff through Amazon and eBay or other big online sellers like that rather than handling the online business end of it themselves.... I figure these big companies let those Sellers deal with the sales, shipping, warranty process, returns and whatever else needs done through Online sales and service and to figure a lot of those sellers are just playing a broker role in it and it still handled directly from the manufacturer and then some sellers probably have the warehousing area in space to buy from these companies and bulk quantities and have it drop shipped and get super good deals on the stuff to be able to sell a lot of different things much cheaper than the tool 🚛 and a lot of times the manufacturer themselves!! That's just a speculation I have on it and I figure that's why some of the Tool Companies never have a good quality website or online services set up because it would have to eliminate a lot of extra overhead on their side of it, if they use other ways for online business and sales...

Mac needs to make a RBRT line of basic allen wrenches. Sometimes the sockets will not get into some tight spots. One that I encounter the most is on the duramax valve covers where the allen bolt is close the the firewall. An allen wrench with the RBRT technology would work great in this area. Most of the time the ones I work on are overly tighten and have already been stripped out when I encounter them.

Ya the new 12v dewalt is the most powerful compact 3/8 impact. Like clay said its even more powerful than the m18. I bought the m12 stubby a week before the 12v dewalt came out. Researched for about a month before pulling the trigger. The new 12v dewalt wasnt even leaked until after i got the m12. I would have waited for it. I may get the 1/2 just to have a compact 1/2 eventhough theres obviously more powerful 1/2 available. Not guna find one that compact that powerful.
