Comments on sharpness lagginess? Also, can you confirm audio from Mac works now through VPro (I heard it works as an output but you cannot select the VPro microphone).

No issues with legginess or sharpness. The only lagginess I find is when switching between wide and ultra wide - it takes bit longer than you'd expect. Also, YES, audio works through Vision Pro, which is great! It actually makes Mac virtual display much more immersive.

The other long awaited addition to this update is that we can finally airplay from mac to vision pro! It was such a pain in the ass to use "family sharing" to access the music app on mac.

I’m pretty sure it does, but it has limitations. Not sure what those are, though since I haven’t had an Intel Mac in a while.

I don't have FCPX, I use DaVinci Resolve and it's amazing. LOTS of room to work. Will definitely edit this way from now on.

I've upgraded, but I can't find the top button to use to adjust the screen ratio on my end, I can only make the screen curved by dragging it. Not sure how to do that like in your video. By the way, my mac is the latest system and the chips are m1max and m1.

I dont get the option to select sizes, but can manually scale to ultra wide. I think it probably has to do with my Mac doesnt have the beta software to match on it.

Could you try openning davinci resolve? Does it make sense to buy this for editing while traveling?

Absolutely! I’ve already been using da Vinci resolve and it’s a total game changer. Highly recommend for editing.

5120x1440 was the default... can it go higher? I think Apple advertised "two 4K displays" which would be 7680x2160

I think you won't want to go higher. What I am hoping is that 5120x1440 is HiDPi

the highest it can go is 10,240 x 2880 but its not very usable. Everything becomes tiny and illegible.

Is it possible to change the resolution to custom resolutions? I'm so used to 3840x1600, 1440 feels cramped to me. A bit more width and height would even be better.

Pinch and drag the window bars that appear at either bottom corner of the window to make it your preferred size. Change the resolution of your Mac display within Apple Vision Pro. Go to the System Settings app on your Mac, click Displays, then choose a resolution that allows for more comfortable viewing. To see more sizes, turn on Show all resolutions. Move the Mac Virtual Display window farther away. Pinch and drag the window bar that appears at the bottom of the window and push it away from you. Try using an Environment to see if full or partial immersion makes it more comfortable to have the window at a greater distance.

I updated to 2.2 Beta but it's still not working for me yet. I'm updating my macOS Sequoia now. Hopefully that's the reason why.

Nope that didn't work. The screen is slightly curved (which is new) but there's no option to change the display size. 😞

I felt the same way, especially given Apples history of buggy updates. But rest assured after a week, I've had no issues. The only annoying factor was that I had to enable Apple Intelligence again, which meant resetting region and language and going through siri voice set up, but it only took 5 minutes to fix.
