Hi Scott amazing scenery on your island! When we were milking in a tie stall we had a feed cart that was also a mixer .might work in your barn.Thanks for the video.

I've seen them. I think they'd definitely work. We missed out on one selling fairly cheap a couple of years ago it was even fairly local to us. We were talking about putting a stationary mixer in at the time, so we didn't really consider buying the tmr cart. But then we didn't end up putting a stationary mixer in either lol just the way it goes sometimes, I guess.

Awesome to see the 1915 back in action!

On that note, I'm pretty sure a local feedlot that I did a coop placement at had one with a six row head on it, it was impressive how fast it filled trucks and it seemed to chop it really well

Yeah this one would probably be better off with a 6 row, we'll see how much power the kernel processor soaks up when we get that on. We will probaby stick with the 4 row unless we can find another smoking deal on a 6 row haha

Always enjoy the drone shots of the area with the ocean in the background.

Hi Scott. I was wondering how the new head was working. 👍🏻 Can’t wait for the plowing 👋👋👍🏻👍🏻🇨🇦

It probably won't be as pretty as some of the plowing you see on the island haha, gotta love rocky ground 🙃

Ya. Rocks are not your friend when plowing. 👍🏻

We’ve had good luck with Acuron the last years. Post plant- 6 leaves. Tank mix with glyphosate= clean fields and max yield. Just a suggestion. You probably don’t need my help farming lol
@macfarms23 күн бұрын
Acuron is what we usually use just didn't happen this year for one reason or another. Worked out in the end I guess the silo got filled lol

Every chopper's the same. The more you push into it the better a job is does on the cut.
@macfarms21 күн бұрын
Yeah thats what I've noticed, when we had all that down corn it was barely feeding anything through it and the cut was really long then. I think they are meant to be run close to capacity. Once we get the KP on I'll have a look at speeding up the head a bit and hopefully that will make a difference for us.

Thank you Mac, this was awesome, the shots in the silo was great, can you remind me what engine is in the silage harvester
@macfarms22 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching Jan. The harvester has a 3306 Cat engine in it, 270hp. The older parts machine we bought has the same thing.

Good looking corn Scott. How many years have you been growing corn? Is this the first or second year with the new to Super Dave, White planter?
@macfarms23 күн бұрын
5 years now, 2019 was the first year growing it. This was the first year using the White planter and no plastic.
