Good Video ,please note the major money is being made by the traders at the moment. Farmers are not making money at the moment.Last year the price received by the farmers was approximately USD 5.60 per kg.This year the prices may go down up to USD 2.90 per kg. Macadamia is an expensive crop to grow ,has a long gestation period ,break even will be post 8 years and that too with selected clones. The crop is susceptible to many pests and diseases.The spraying equipment used to manage pests in mature trees is very expensive.
