Back in the 1980s the tunnel was off limits unless you went in to buy crack. Both ends had Crip soldiers stationed outside and checking for money before they let a buyer inside, totally at their mercy.

@@BlownAFBrah I've been watching the OMG live tv channel I haven't once seen on there any of them ask for money. And there are a lot of normal ppl that walk down that street. Where I live, go in town ppl stand on every street corner wanting money those are the kind that want nothing but money? I feel sorry for all of them and pray for them. We know nothing about their lives in why they choose this? I had a son I lost a year and a half ago due to drugs. Nothing anyone especially a parent wants to happen in their lives. I never enabled him we gave him food and necessities, wasn't homeless but squatting in a house he quit paying rent on. He would had ended up just like this no matter? I could had helped him anytime he wanted help. But they mostly don't want help. A few years back I prayed and prayed he would come ask me for help, one morning after he tried to do the unthinkable he came in crying asking "Mom, I need help" what a glorious day that was! Yes got clean for a few years then went back but this time worse. My husband found him hanging..... he no more wanted to be in that situation but couldn't say no. Ever hear the song "Don't Laugh at Me" ? If not please do. For this song could be part of why they are here?
