I am from Ohio and part of the Garden Congregation of Cantertbury Cathedral and heard Dean Robert read this. I have just become familiar again with TS Eliot. This is a bright spot for the day and every day ! Thank you for uploading this delight.!

I have to memorise this poem for a speech exam, and I've left it really late because I couldn't find any time to learn it, and I have 3 days left until the exam, so looks like I'll be listening to this on repeat for 2 days xD

"Because of my fine speaking voice I was once asked to read once for "Talking Books", said Arthur. "I was asked to do War And Peace and apart from one or two mispronunciations it all went fine. I'm not too sure when it is coming out though, as I'm led to believe from the publishing house that there have been a few problems with the editing", explained Arthur. "I did find their comment that it will take longer to edit the bloody thing than to write it, to be a little unhelpful"

He's playing an elderly gentleman and his character does a lot of head bobbing. Check him out BBC4 extra, his show is very funny. His TV shows are good but he is hilarious live. Not sure about this clip.

He played this one really straight. I have a suspicion this is one of his favourite poems so didn't want to take it too far.

Harvey Smith I have the full poem book of Old Possums Book of Practical Cats. All the poems are by T.S. Eliot. It even says it on the front of the book. It’s not by HG Wells.

Dante's Cat The cat against the vacant screen disappears. Black against black. Lacking contrast it dissolves into a nether world of Dante darkness. Down, down it goes drawn by irresistible powers, too strong to fight, into the welcoming arms of mother earth. Yet still it sees! The emerald key hole unlocks an invisible world of mysterious things passing human wisdom. Cat brain and human brain collide and in some distant place coalesce - the same life force just different prey - the one free of all concern the other steeped in guilt sucked dry by the frozen core. Black cat, lucky or unlucky, just views me with contempt or is it with desire? Hiss or purr, cupboard love or affection who can tell? To kiss with stiletto Or embrace with sharp claws? Whilst onward we tumble and fall towards the inferno. Tentative and afraid we feel our way to hell, level by level downwards, never knowing where it will end or if there is one. Dante laughs. Virgil laughs. All heaven laughs at such divine, ecstatic comedy.
