This bird was born and hand fed by a breeder in the U.S. - There are many breeds of birds legally sold and they do make wonderful (and often challenging) companions. I rescued this bird from a home where the owner's new partner did not like the bird and he had been put in the garage. He lives in our living room and has an outside enclosure that he enjoys when the weather is nice. They are social (flock) creatures and he has become a welcome member of our family. Research BEFORE getting a macaw!

The whistles are what specify that the macaw is happy, if it wasn't moving or if it was FARRR away from the water or panicking or trying to get out, then it would be cruelty. BUT THE MACAW RUNS IN AND OUT OF THE WATER AND CHANGES POSITIONS!

Macaws loveee water. Everytime I use my water hose close to my Mcaw she comes running to get wet and play with the water. After I'm done I have to stay extra time just wasting water too make her happy lol. She's the baby of the house!

They poop like birds, anywhere they happen to be at the time! ... although, I must say, Mr. Mayi has never gotten me, he gets a little agro and I put him down and he takes care of his business, I did not teach him this, but I DO appreciate it!!

You can train them to go in certain areas, at certain times, but yes, love your bird -- love his poop (and getting bit and attitude , but love their cuddles too).

You see how he’s flapping his feathers and whistling? He wouldn’t be doing that if he was being abused. The water is positioned so that he could get out whenever he wanted to. He’s clearly enjoying himself.

Seeing lots of people saying this isn’t animals cruelty. I would assume this is true as the bird looks like it’s having a tremendous time. Weird thing is, I’m struggling too see anyone who said it was animal cruelty in the first place. I’m sure someone did, but damn you guys went OTT on what I assume was a minority of uneducated people that thought this was animal abuse.
@ivartheboneless59693 жыл бұрын
@@NA-if1lu I reckon some people said it was cruelty, then even more people commented that it wasn’t, until all the top comments said this isn’t animals cruelty, not because they seen someone say it was, but because they seen other people saying it wasn’t and they wanted too hop on the bandwagon.
