I've been a Windows user for more than 10 years and I even owned a Chromebook for a couple years too. My HP that I got in 2018 died on me in 2022 (It lasted from my 7th grade year to the first semester of my junior year) so I got the M1 MacBook Air for Christmas in 2022 and I still love it to this day. It's amazing.

Using your macbook while charging is way better for its battery health. the mac will consume power directly from charger which help saving the battery life circle. also with charger charging, it will probably work faster than non-charging.

You can use the laptop while it's charging and even leave it on charge once it's full - they're meant for that and MacBook's use the chargers as power supply for extra juice when the laptop is fully charged.

I have this MBA m1 since 2021 and it’s honestly an amazing laptop. However my workload has gotten so much more since then so it can no longer handle the way I need it to. I’m upgrading to the MBP m2 with 32gb ram. My advice to anyone getting the laptop is try to get as much ram memory as you can afford.

Wasn't it because the screen is bigger? Honestly I think the Macbooks are just downgrading atp. Talking about the outside, don't know much about the chip and stuff. But the magnetic charger from the 2013-1015 versions was just better. Also the convenient design of the charger, it had hangers for a better cable organization and not to mention the little grip, and who remembers the extension cord included with the macbook? Now you have to pay for it. And I miss the shinny apple and the touch bar would've been nice.

Hey, I hope you enjoy it even though this is an older system I believe since it is at least M silicon or Apple Silicon it will work great. Well, this would work great as a daily use, travel, work laptop. But when upgrading I would next time recommend like upgrading the ram at least because that could hold you back a little bit, depending on what you’re doing and just in general applications and stuff these days. I personally have the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro and iMac from 2010 around the time it came out and they lasted me for 10 years and I still use it to this day but my 2020 I upgraded to a new MacBook Air which is Intel based I also got a Mac Mini in 2018, which is also Intel base and actually finally upgraded to Apple Silicon by dropping $6k on a new computer back in November 2023 when they had the M3 chips. I personally don’t regret it because I now have a laptop that used for work and just traveling and just being portable and the best thing is since it’s in the Apple ecosystem, everything runs seamlessly with each other, which helps with my productivity. I would say this was justified because of Apple’s financing and also that this would probably last me for another 10 years or more. Which it most likely will because those Macs that I got in 2010 I still use them for like background purposes or side purposes. 😅

mac has more options for other things such as games and other apps as it's a computer, and these ones are very portable

I would recomment the mac, but keep in mind that the apple macbook air including the m1 chip is designed in a rathee old fashion. In comparison to newer models featuring a notch and different keyboard layout for example apple is more likely to drop software support for models of this design as it is more(unnessesary work). Nethertheless it is still a good performing laptop that feels and is pretty luxurious and as long as you dont plan on getting into high res video editing it will be the option to choose. PS: sorry for my bad english 💀

My understand is that these m1 macbooks are still very capable. unfortunately the 16gb version is still 1000+, but I just bought the 8gb version for 750 on amazon and will see if it can suit my needs. I think it should be great. Apple M1 is super efficient.

in my opinion, 8gb of RAM works fine running moderate amount of workload but doing intensive tasks might consider you upgrading with more RAM to ensure seamless performance

@@Aryan-ji2nk Sorry I got it wrong..I thought it is asking how much time it takes for full charge from 0 to 100...about how long it lasts..I tried twice from 100 to 0 battery..it gave around 15hrs (brightness mid or high, connected to bluetooth, keyboard lights on)...it can give more screen time if used with battery saver and keyboard lights off
