Hi guys. I'm a fellow wild camper. I've found about 4 decent spots up there. Awesome place and always has a nice feel to it. Was trying to pin point where that was but can't place you 🙂⛺

I was actually up there yesterday for the first time in a while. That spot has now been totally felled! 🌲 So definitely no camps in that location for a good few years. Plenty more if you have a mooch round 😉

Nice one! You did well finding a spot to pitch two tents, it's such a closely packed plantation. Best idea to disappear once the wind got up though! All the best👍

Yeah we were lucky to stumble across the pitch, not even sure if I could find it again 😂 Those trees looked very brittle in the wind! 😬

Loads of good spots to park round the forest. All along the road at Ridgegate Reservoir, further up towards Trentabank Res or up Holehouse Lane next to Teggs Reservoir my go to’s 👍🏼

Alright mate, I camped around this area not long ago and walked through this forest to find a spot for the future. I am going back to this area next week to hopefully find a spot to camp within the forest. Any grid on where your location was or what point of intrest it’s near and when I went it was all open and tracks. ?

The whole forest is crisscrossed by roads, tracks and cycle paths, so it is quite difficult to find a nice secluded spot. But they are there if you have an explore 👍🏼
