Fantastic views, iv'e not been up that way for years when i cycled the canal network from Watford to Manchester. I Remember the Macca canal well. Heart breaking to see a pub no longer open, i'm with you on that one. I'd have been in the woods with a good old campfire at this time of year. Good film, thanks for sharing.

Hi Phil, nice hike, idyllic views and good time I bet. I like sleeping under poncho or tarpe as well, feels closer to nature) What map do you use and where I can get? How do you know where you can camp, is it on public land? I'll do the 10 questions soon, promise)) Keep warm my friend.

Hi Stan. If you type 'OS maps' it will take you straight to their site where you can buy all the maps of GB. I use the OS Explorer maps with the 1:25 000 scale. You can pick them up at most camping shops such as Go Outdoors and most good bookstores, WHSmiths- Waterstones bookstores etc. As far as camping is concerned, I'll just scan the map and decide where I want to go. Hopefully, I'll not get busted. Out of sight, out of mind :-)
