Comment below what acts Mace Windu made that were dumb

While Mace was a good man he ultimately mistreated a 9 year old into a monster despite not knowing it.

Even if mace didn't exist the result would be the same. Mace nearly ended the war twice when he nearly killed Dooku and sideous. Top to bottom Jedi council and order was broken and the galaxy was broken The fact the Jedi find the chosen one in slavery just shows how bad shape the galaxy was. this still wasn't a wake up call to help the greater galaxy. They were serving the senate instead of the force. Lost touch with morale and empathy In favor for disconnected with greater reality and struggle. If you think about it yoda was basically the emporer. Clone army loads of funds broken galaxy lots of power Qui Gon was there only hope the entire order moved like Mace tbh. Only reason obi won was slightly different was because of Qui Gon

mace always said that the jedi are. neutral yet it was always mace who dove nose first into politics. and he never followed what he preached. he was cold ,distant and how in TPM ,mace had said "we will find the identity of your attacker" to qui gon in the meeting where qui gon reported the return of the sith and then he did not do anything to help.

This is another reason why I hate Mace windu as a character and Samuel Jackson did a really good job portraying him because he can easily portray characters that are Royal pieces of shit that are so high and mighty and think they're right until the very second they die.

Anakin Skywalker? "He cant join us. He's too old." Rahm Kohta? Joined the Jedi at 18 after Mace discovered him.

All the retcons make no sense. Nomi Sunrider was a grown woman with a husband and child when she was recruited. She became a grand master of the order.

Anakin was definitely responsible for his actions... BUUUT the order, namely the council, failed the fuck outta him.
@CharlesLaBuhn44 минут бұрын
Yes, BUUUT Anakin was a baby killer from way back and there is really no defending him. Millions, possibly Billions of people were killed because he chose Palpatine over Everyone else and blindsided Mace Windu. I believe the Force would have been better off if it kept it in it's pants or worn some kind of protection. Or here is one for you, what if Shmi dealt with the pregnancy like a Feminist?

I agree, but it wasn't just Mace. Even Obi-Wan struggled to be there for him. I think Mace's cold pragmatic approach to Anakin could have been balanced out if he had actual confidants within the Jedi order, but Obi-Wan always (to me anyway) displays a strange kind of distance to him. He tried to be the best Master he could to Anakin but he just couldn't - after all he was left with Anakin after Qui-Gon's death. Especially during the Attack of the Clones Obi-Wan treats him as a burden. Re-watch Episode II and pay attention to how mean he is to Anakin... Every step of the way Lucas conveys how disastrous Qui-Gon's death was for Anakin's destiny and it wasn't really anyone's fault. They tried to make-do but only Qui-Gon could have stopped it.

I mean just look at episode 1. Obi-wan straight up calls him a "useless lifeform"

The Jedi made plenty of mistakes, but Anakin is responsible for his own downfall. He had so many red flags upon meeting him which I’m not blaming him for, but he is to blame for not getting his crap together for the 10+ years that he was in the order. He wanted to be a Jedi ,but couldn’t handle the responsibility that came with being one nor could he properly follow the code that he agreed to follow. He constantly broke the rules and displayed behavior that’s unfitting for a Jedi and yet he wonder why the council was weary of him. The Jedi had every reason to expelled him but they didn’t , and look where that got them. If you really wanna blame a Jedi then blame Qui Gon for forcing Anakin onto obi wan and for forcing the council to accept a boy who never should’ve been trained.
@clipsdelosmajes4 сағат бұрын
"Behavior unfitting for a Jedi", oh boy, how do I tell you that all Jedi have fallen into that regard? Also he didn't "agree" per say, it was just the best option for him. It was either that or continue living under slavery. Also no wonder he doesn't follow rules of people who don't even respect him.

It is believed among a lot of SW fans that if Qui-Gon survived his fight with Darth Maul and raised Anakin instead of Obi-Wan, things would've turned out a lot different. It looked like Qui-Gon was up for the job of being a father figure for Anakin. I believe Palpatine wasn't quite convincing enough to turn Anakin all by himself. It was both that and the way the Jedi Council treated him that did it. It looked like the Jedi Council tolerated Anakin, but it was Palpatine who believed in him and kept encouraging him. From Anakin's point of view, when Palpatine finally tried to turn him, Anakin didn't really have a choice.

I think one of the truly big moments was when they let him believe Obi Wan was dead! A man they knew he loved, (one of the few), and ultimately almost killed because of that lie! That was huge in his mistrust not just of them, but Obi wan as well! I think another pivotal moment was when they elevated every padawan who fought in geonosis but him! That was a huge slap in the face! You can say his mistrust in them was warranted in many situations!

Mace didn't lead the Jedi order, guy. That was Yoda. Did Mace play a SMALL part in Anakin becoming Vader? yes, certainly. But there is more to it. 1. Obi-Wan wasn't fit to teach Anakin. He treated him like a brother when he should have been guiding him. How did Obi-wan not know his Padawan was shagging a senator? How did Obi wan manage to miss all the telltale signs of Anakin slipping to the Darkside. Why did Obi-wan not question Palpatine's interest in Anakin? The list goes on. 2. Qui-Gon was another factor. Did he truly buy that BS about the Force "just creating" a child? The council forbid Anakin's admittance into the order and for good reason. But Qui-gon just ignored it because he knew better. Too bad he never thought to make certain Obi-wan went back for Anakin's mom. 3. Yoda. He never questioned Palpatine's interest in Anakin. But you know who did? Mace did. Yoda overruled any jedi that tried to find evidence of Sith still being at play. Yoda KNEW the Clones would turn on the order and did NOTHING about it. The grandmaster of the order let a Sith in right under his nose. He never questioned who made the Clones or what true purpose they might have served. He'd denied Anakin entry because he knew the kid had issues. But then let him stay due to a guilty conscience. There are more actors, but this is too long already.

Saying Mace "made" Darth Vader is just clickbait, possibly racially motivated. If you ask yourself when exactly Anakin started transitioning into Darth Vader, Mace didn't raise Anakin, Mace didn't make Anakin ignore select parts of his Jedi training, Mace had nothing to do with Anakin killing civilian Sand People on Tatooine, Mace didn't make Anakin keep secrets, Mace certainly didn't tell Anakin to go kill kids in the Jedi Temple or kill his wife (Mace being dead at the time). Anakin was responsible for his own decisions. Even if you make the argument that a kid isn't responsible for their decisions, or that the brain doesn't fully develop until later in life, at some point kids become adults, making adult decisions with adult consequences. Anakin went way in over his head, it wasn't just one "oopsie" or even a bunch of them, just way way out there. "He was told he was too old, etc." - well, we see how that turned out, in the end Anakin WAS too attached. It wasn't simply a matter of age, the reason older Jedi candidates often weren't accepted was precisely because older children had often not only formed attachments but gotten used to forming attachments. It's not that Anakin was judged on some nonsensical policy either; Anakin actually came before the Jedi Council, who could read his emotions in the Force to make an informed and accurate decision. You could argue judging after the fact because Anakin turned out to do bad things is no good, that Anakin should have been given a chance. But Anakin was given a chance. Stating (correctly) that pre-judging negatively affects outcomes in no way negates the fact that Anakin went way overboard, by a lot. "He was denied the position of Master" - simply, no. It is not that Anakin was "denied" anything, he simply hadn't earned it. In fact, Anakin treating the situation as if he had somehow "earned" ascension to Master was a sign of his immaturity and attachments. Casting the situation negatively was Palpatine's pressure, Palpatine's twisting and forcing the situation, and the video maker buying into that whole argument is plainly silly. "Wars do not make one great" - Yoda or some such. So Anakin was a big war hero, big whoop, Look to the "history" in Star Wars, there was a whole recurrent thing where Jedi would be war heroes, get attached, turn to the dark side, end up instigating wars that killed loads of people. Even without "historical" precedent, Jedi glorifying the whole war action would have been entirely against what the Jedi were all about in the first place. If you want to say Anakin wanted to ascend to Master to gain access to records so he could try to avoid the future he saw in his Force visions, that's still no excuse. Anakin refused to share any of that with the Jedi Council. Again, what were the Jedi really about? Doing things for personal reasons directly arising from personal attachments, keeping secrets, and so on, was all Anakin. "When telling the Jedi that Palpatine was Sith" or to that effect - Anakin still hadn't confessed to killing the Sand People to the Jedi, but even without that clearly Anakin was in over his head with loads of things that he shouldn't have been doing, playing political games with the Chancellor, and so forth. Mace knew that, it had been an ongoing matter of concern that the entire Jedi Council had discussed. Anakin suddenly popping up and making loads of confessions only confirmed what had already been suspected. On the spot, having to make a decision, should Mace have ignored the potential threat of an unknown Sith Master that he knew had been influencing Anakin for years, and allowed Anakin to come along with everyone else? No, clearly not. Even when parting, Anakin was still trying to influence outcomes, clearly Anakin could not achieve emotional separation from the situation. Anakin was clearly compromised, and Mace read and responded to the situation correctly. In the end, arguing Anakin was under pressure, claiming an adult Anakin was in no way responsible for his own extermist actions repeatedly over decades of time, is going way too far. On the other hand, claiming Mace was solely to blame for things he only peripherally influenced as one voice (though influential) in a larger group, or correctly assessing time and again situations, and acting correctly, is just nonsense. Mace did nothing wrong; even Mace's failure to identify Anakin and Palpatine in their particular roles cannot be characterized as anything other than Mace simply not overcoming the machinations of Palpatine.

Anakin was a damaged individual from day one. He was not even fully Human. In another time he would have become a School Shooter with, or without, Palpatine. Do not forget that he burned Younglings to death (including new Infants) at the Tuskin Raiders Camp.
