You should check out Avi's solo work, I enjoy his cover of Lean On Me and of course all of his original music is simply amazing ❤️ Their Evolution videos are fun. The other evolutions I would recommend are Micheal Jackson and Beyonce. Also you should consider going back to the beginning to their Sing-Off journey were they first got together as a full group!

Thank you for mentioning Walk Off the Earth (and fans are called Wotelings, fyi)!!! I actually only discovered Pentatonix through my WOTE videos, as they covered some of the same songs in the early days. For anyone interested, check them out -- not the same quality of sound as PTX, but they have some incredibly creative videos! Their big viral hit was Somebody I used to Know, but they also did well with Royals (Lorde cover) and many, many others. One of my favourites visually was Little Boxes -- it's definitely worth checking them out!

All of their evolution videos are great. The Michael Jackson evolution is one of my favorites, if you haven't done that yet. Also, they have a full length version of Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy on their classics album that's fantastic if you like that era of music.

I love, love, love this medley, but as a history nerd it makes me sad that they breeze through historical music so fast to get to the modern stuff. They jump 600 years from the 11th century to the 1600's, then another 200 to the 1800's, and then another 100 into the more modern stuff. And it's not like there's no music to be found. Mediaeval Baebes finds all sorts of stuff. (And it just struck me. They NEED to do something together. The harmonies would be INSANE.) Like I said, I love it, but I always feel myself going, "Wait, wait, do more! Don't rush ahead! Awww."

As they said, they had to fit everything into a four minute time frame, and there were many historical styles that were given shirt shrift or entirely ignored. For that matter, there was nothing for disco or grunge, which were enormously popular in the mid 70s and the early 1990s, respectively, but they had to limit themselves to material they could replicate with their voices and that they could work into the overarching theme. An interesting idea could have been to pair classical songs with modern reinterpretations, such as "Fantasy Impromptu" with "I'm Always Chasing Rainbows", "Prelude in C minor" with "Could it be Magic", "Dance of the Gliding Maidens" with "Stranger In Paradise", and "Scarborough Fair" with "Scarborough Fair/Canticle". Some of those compositions might be overly ambitious for a five-person a cappella band, however, and a bit outside of the scope of this recording.
