I love how this channel makes tutorials on actual charms/miniatures that do need to be explained. 80% of polymer clay channels make tutorials on "kawaii" things that any moron could recreate and obviously don't need a tutorial on. Thanks toni for being an actual channel that knows how to make tutorials for yummy looking creations 🤗❣️

How do people keep their clay clean? No matter how many times I scrub my hands and work surface it always ends up getting dirty
@MyBeautifulMuffins
@MyBeautifulMuffins 7 жыл бұрын
If you use nail polish remover or alcohol after baking it you can lightly rub any dirt marks or lint caught in the clay, but be careful because alcohol eats at the clay and might make its shape different. It helps but sometimes it's not easy depending on what you are making with it. Also it could just be your room your working in. I have animals (dogs and cats) and their hair is all over my room even though none of them come in here often. Dusting might help, just around the work area. Maybe turn off any fans. Hopefully that helps. I never had much luck with keeping my clay clean either.

@DreamSeerXIII 7 жыл бұрын
MyBeautifulMuffins I've found that you gotta keep your hands clean too, because dust can easily stick to them. I use a cleansing wipe or a wet face cloth often while sculpting. Dust on clay is one of my biggest art pet peeves, but it's everywhere so I just gotta live with it hahaha

Skye Sell I also keep a piece of scrap clay and rub my hands on it as I craft. The stickiness of the clay pulls of the dirt that washing didn't get.
@flayuhat
@flayuhat 7 жыл бұрын
Skye Sell You can also use rubbing alcohol on raw clay, before baking. Also, I use baby wipes both on my work surface and my hands, although you have to be careful not to rub too hard because some of the baby wipe's white fibers can stick to your hands and transfer to your clay. They're still very useful though, along with rubbing alcohol and raw scrap clay (you can use all three of these things both on your hands and your work surface).
