Hi, Appolgies for a very late reply to this. This was something i made when I was studying film and documentary making at college. It was an idea I had as a pilot for a six part documentary series looking at the clans who once lived in Loch Lomong. This project had no budget but is something I would love to remake with a budget and in much more depth. Thank you for your compliments :)

Just starting to dig in to my family history on my Mum's side whose name I have recently changed to. I am a defendant of Robert McFarlane the Dean of Montrose, I have discovered through some digging that my families name is a Sept of Macfarlane and that the some of the clan were moved over to Aberdeenshire where Montrose is which ties in.

Same here. A lot of the "Macs" did that. I guess to better assimilate in predominantly Anglo-American society?

The name MacFarlane was spelled many different ways even before many of the clan emigrated to the US.

Why is the castle etc not part of Scotland's National Heritage ? Disgrace that local slime can destroy or deface this beautiful place.

Abdul Abdullah Our President and other Clan officials are doing a wonderful job working with local officials to stop the defacing of the Isle proper and it's contents. They are doing oh so much more than could ever beging to be touch upon here to protect and preserve our Great Clans Heritage. Thank you all.

@@middleburgprepper2342 That's good to hear. There's something about "locals" everywhere who don't appreciate what makes their area unique.
