Season 5 Episode 1: Hella John Wick themes. Season 5 Episode 2: "It's Entrapment, and we regret nothing." Also, Mac's face when she says (paraphrased) "I think you just lost your chances of ever dating that" in the training montage. Just... that face. He managed to convey "Yes, thank you so, *so* much for reminding me why that was a bad idea *both* times, ma'am, but I'll get you for it later."

I love that version of the song too. And since it was Phil Collins I think that promo photo of MacDesi smiling at each other was a scene that maybe they were kissing but of course Monica cut it. I think next week they'll decide to stay friends.

ehh during the part where Riley is in the van with Russ and the woman with the amputated leg, she had the same cut as in episode 1 but in the part where she is in the war room and when she watches Desi practicing, she has another cut. Frankenstein season as Lucas would say.

This episode was quite intresting, since it was a combination of things I didn't like and things I really enjoyed. Going over the things I didn't enjoy as much, it can be boiled down to two basic points. The training and breaking in part was too long, and the focus on Desi, and to an extent Russ, once again outshined the rest of the group. This was a ridicoulusly slow-paced episode. Now, I must admit that this won't be the same for everyone, but I'm the type of person who wants the story to progress faster than that. I'm not talking about action, just something, anything, that would move the story forward. As much as I'm trying to like Desi and Russ, with more success for the latter, I just can't stomach it when they take so much of the spotlight of the original characters. I understand that they're the latest addittions to the group and we haven't managed to connect with them as much, but please don't try to force me to like them by forcibly shoving them down my throat every single episode. And for the love of God, just give Bozer even a single chance to shine. As for the things I liked, they were short, but many. Finally learning something about Desi through a flashback and not words. Mac not appearing as disturbed in the prospect of losing his chance of dating Desi as much as she would like it. Mac showing of his nerdiness is such a breath of relief in each episode. Desi breaking in was a very enjoyable scene, I'll give it that. Russ showing us his growth of character, from a person willing to take innocent lives in order to achieve his goals and get revenge, to a person who can manage to keep his emotions in check. I liked the interractions between Mac and Jess, despite the fact that I hoped Charlotte would make an appearance. All in all, it was a pretty nice episode.

Agreed! I really liked it too. More than I thought I would. Unfortunately I can't say the same for the next one. I'm planning on making a video for 5x03 too I just haven't found the time to do it yet.
