From summer '74 to winter '76 IIRC, I rented a suite in a house that looks like the white one at 5:21, on the bottom floor on Grove St (?). But, there was a basement access door on the side of the house that isn't there any more. My housemates were pretty cool people, well except for the Mormon missionaries that lived above me. I have (only) a few fond memories of living there and commuting to Bucks Harbor AFS every day. I learned to drive pretty well on snow and ice, in spite of growing up in the Deep South. It all looks so different to me. They even moved Helen's. Little Machias is all grown up!

Wow, there's like- no cars in the road at all! Seems quiet and peaceful there!

It took me 30 mins to drive a mile because of the constant roadwork. It’s pretty but annoying

I’m thinking of buying property on high head rd in E Machias. Is this an overall nice area?
