So glad I saw them a few years back on their Burn my eyes tour. Such an awesome band. I follow them from the start \m/

This has been one of my favorite bands since mid 90's. The cool thing about this is all the songs from this studio session are from their first album and the drummer is the drummer from this album, but he split from the band after this album, but came back after all these years for this studio session. They are an amazing band. His name is Chris Kontos and he is an amazing drummer.

Chris Kontos, the drummer, is an absolute legend! Shame he only played on this album... Dave McClain, who replaced him and was with them for so many albums I lost count, is awesome too. Like really awesome. Just maybe not quite as much. After all, he is a Kiss fan :P

When 'Burn My Eyes' came out it and Fear Factory's 'Demanufacture' were the heaviest albums I had ever heard. That downtuned, mega-gain guitar sound and growled vocals became known as 'extreme metal'. Soon it morphed into nu-metal, which Machine Head, sadly, got sucked into with a lot of bands of that era. But 'Burn My Eyes' still sounds absolutely killer today. The quality of the songs and production have made it timeless, in my opinion. It was the band staking their claim and not following any trends. And it was the era when Roadrunner Records could do no wrong.

The more things change was a nice follow-up. They went south when Ahru Luster was I the band. This is one of my top ten metal albums of all time flawless.

Everything you’ve seen with then in the studio are rehearsals/promos for the 25th anniversary tour of their first album last year.

It's such a shame they couldn't patch it up with Adam Duce to complete the original line-up. But if you listen to the song 'Game Over' on 'Bloodstone and Diamonds' it's pretty clear how Robb Flynn feels about Duce these days. It's gotta be the angriest song they have ever done.

I’m 100% with you on the drummer Susie. Hopefully you guys get around to reacting to ‘The Rage To Overcome’ from the same album. That entire album is one of my favorites of all time. Love every track on it, which is rare for me.

If Chris Kontos has continued with the band there's no doubt he'd be known as one of the great modern metal drummers. Sadly, he never found a gig as high profile as this to match his talents.

Wanna see some impressive drums then reach To Eloy from Sepultura. You wont regret a minute.
