Oh i'm definitely saying the original is better than this. You can't beat the emotion of it. It takes you to another place, as if you were there. It's a masterpiece in every sense of the word. I'm not a fan of MH i just don't like their style. Bands like Maiden are very special to me. I love thrash and some death metal but good old fashioned heavy metal is my obsession. But you're right, to each his own. Listen to whatever makes your head bang! \m/

Brian Gray I concur. Also Clive Burr was the best drummer Iron Maiden ever had. I used to spend hours playing along to him. Great groove and feel. He had so much natural ability. Also his 16th notes on the hi hat work perfectly. Transferring them to the bass drums as above just does not work for me. Proof that if you are going to cover Iron Maiden pre Nicko stick with Clive as he just sounds better and that is because he plays better.

In the last half a decade or so I think there has been a huge shift and return for a lot of bands to the roots of NWOBHM, Thrash, Death and Black Metal stuff. Metal is as strong and healthy as ever!
